Risks

7January 25, 2012 - For Government Use Only - Do Not Distribute

Risk Mitigation

Service/Vendor Readiness - ETS2 new entrant(s) may not pass IV&V in time for anticipated award date

• Retest mandatory requirements after award but prior to any transactions being processed; create performance incentives as part of final award to ensure timely resolution

• Permit transactions if non-remediated issue is deemed of low impact by early adopter agencies

• Phased approach and detailed vendor plan for how they will deploy all agencies

Agency Readiness - Vendor(s) ability to deploy all agencies by Nov. 2013

• Detailed advanced planning in anticipation of streamlined schedule. Start planning now!

• GSA to create Master Integrated Schedule of agency transitions; we will look for ways to balance schedules

Integration Costs and Timing - Developing new interface(s) will push agencies into ETS1 extension period, with higher costs

• Re-use agency side of existing interface and have ETS2 vendor configure its integration capability to mimic what ETS1 is doing today

• Plan for new interfaces separately from transition

Configuration Costs and Timing

Developing new business processes will push agencies into ETS1 extension period with higher costs

• Maintain current business processes• Take your ETS1 configuration guide from vendor and update for ETS2
