The USAFA Base Library, like most Air Force base libraries, functions similar to a public library by supporting on-base personnel and thelocal retired military community with variety of programs including childrens and young adult activities and professional military educationcourse support. The library also serves as the primary library for cadets in the Air Force Academy Preparatory School. The library hasover 100,000 circulations per year from a collection of approximately 30,000 items.
