Testing Method

Fenner Precision owns a well-equipped on-site testing laboratory, which includes a Tensometer equipped with an environmental chamber.

DOE (Design of Experiments) was carried out on FenFormTM and a competitor’s equivalent product.

The factors investigated were:TemperatureExtensionNumber of cycles

When FenFormTM was cycled at extreme conditions (to give a manageable testing time), it lasted an average of 25% longer than the competitor’s product.

13

Summary of Results

FenForm’sTM Tensile Strength is higher than the competition’s. The difference is maintained as the temperature and cycles are increased.

The difference between the Elongation at Break of FenFormTM and the competitor’s material decreases at higher temperatures.

The Modulus figure at a given elongation is higher for FenFormTM than the competitor’s material. The figure is more consistent as the temperature and cycles are increased.

FenFormTM gives 25% more cycles than the competition when tested at the same temperature and with the same elongation conditions.

FenFormTM is a stronger material that gives a more consistent performance at operating temperature from first cycle to last.
