Understanding Internet Bandwidth
Internet bandwidth is defined by how fast you can transmit data across a connection. With your FiberNET internet service our bandwidth speeds are synchronized meaning your download speed is just as fast as your upload speed.
Your download speed determines how fast you can receive information from the internet to your device(s) on your network.Your upload speed determines how fast you can send information from your device(s) to the internet.
As an example: If you have our 100Mbps internet service, you would be able to receive and send information up to 100 Megabits Per Second without any throttling.
Throttling is best described as a transmission limit placed on a connection meaning regardless of how much bandwidth each end of the connection has only the throttle limit set is how fast data can flow through the connection. FiberNET does not have any throttle limits but a connection you make to
websites, servers, streaming services and other similar activities on the internet may have throttle limits set and could restrict you from sending and receiving information faster than the bandwidth you have with FiberNET.
Data caps are also another commonly ask question. Some providers may have data caps set on their service, meaning when you reach a certain point of data being downloaded your service could be slowed down or additional fees incurred on your service.
At FiberNET we’re proud to inform our customers we do not have any data caps on our internet service and you’re welcome to use the internet as much or as little as you want each month! The price is always the same!
