Psalm 33

http://www.usccb.org/bible/readings/051020.cfm

Ring out your joy to the Lord, O you just; for praise is fitting for loyal hearts.Give thanks to the Lord upon the harp, with a ten-stringed lute sing him praise.”

For the word of the Lord is faithful and all his works to be trusted. The Lord loves justice and right and fills the earth with his love.

The Lord looks on those who revere him, on those who hope in his love,to rescue their souls from death, to keep them alive in famine.

Universal Prayer

Symbol of Faith (Nicene Creed)I believe in one God,the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth,of all things visible and invisible.I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God,born of the Father before all ages.God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvationhe came down from heaven,At the words that follow up to and including and became man, all bow.

and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate,he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third dayin accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heavenand is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in gloryto judge the living and the deadand his kingdom will have no end.I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son,who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sinsand I look forward to the resurrection of the deadand the life of the world to come. Amen.

CommunionMaking a Spiritual Communion

When we are unable to receive the Eucharist at Mass, the Church encourages us to make an act of “spiritual communion,” where we unite ourselves to God

through prayer. There are many prayers you can offer duringyour spiritual communion. Here’s one prayer:

My Jesus,I believe that You are present in the Blessed Sacrament.

I love You above all things, and I desire You with all my heart.

Since I cannot receive You sacramentally, I ask that You come spiritually into my heart.

I embrace You as if You were already in my heart and unite myself You completely.

Please do not let me ever be separated from You.Amen.
