Bainimarama To Fijian Muslims In Canada

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama sayst is our moral responsibility irrespective

of whichever faith we belong to stand upagainst extremism and fundamentalism.Speaking to the British ColumbiaMuslim Association in Canada lastSaturday, he said “we must be vigilant.”We know that Islam is under stressoday, torn by competing visions of the

nature of Islam, of its teaching, and ofhow Muslims are encouraged to act onheir faith,” he said. You are showing that Islam and democracy

are not only compatible, but that they canhrive together. You have shown—andwe are showing every day in Fiji—thatMuslims living side-by-side with people ofother faiths can produce great things. You have shown that Muslims of goodwillive their faith in a positive way every day,

and that the world is better for it.Love, affection and understanding is

what we all must profess and practise.

Indeed I am told that ProphetMohammed not only taught andpractised this but also said we must liveour lives in and with moderation.”Muslims are able to put faith into practicen their everyday lives, he said.

He said to be a Muslim requiredommitment and a way of life thatortied the soul and encouraged a

positive relationship with one’s fellowhuman beings.Islam requires its believers to put theiraith into action and practice,” he said.

The Prime Minister said the Muslimommunity in Fiji had also played a

pivotal role together with other Fijiansin our country’s achievements. He spoke about Fiji having a public holidayto celebrate the Prophet’s birthday.“Very few countries do this, and wedo so proudly. It underlines the uniquenature of Fiji in our own region – a multi-faith nation with a new Constitutionthat guarantees religious freedom andestablishes a secular state, in which allreligions are equal.”Mr Bainimarama said it was also a gestureof respect that each Fijian paid to theirfellow citizens of other faiths, becausethey were one people and one nation, andthey knew that they had a shared destiny,no matter what beliefs they held.Religion, he said, could actually be aunifying force, a bridge between themall no matter what they believed.

“That is because a sense of spiritua – a belief in something grethan ourselves – is common to overwhelming majority of Fijians, matter what their religious backgrounHe said many people were alarmedthe provision in the new Constitutthat made Fiji a secular state. “Tthought that made Fiji non-religious—even hostile to religion. Their fear wunjustied.“Our Constitution simply respects religions. Where all faiths ourishharmony, morality and goodness prevThat is because faith ennobles. And whmorality and goodness prevail, democrand good governance will grow.He said people of faith had an importrole to play in the ordering and cond

of their society and government, individuals and congregations.“They give voice to principle and ensthat ethics and morality are a partour political dialogue. This is essenfor any society, but especially fodemocratic one,” he added.According to Mr BainimaraGovernment must be pragmatic, but it malso uphold principle, stand for fairness, stay true to the values of its people.Government, he stressed, must therefnot give preference to any faith in functioning of a secular state. He said the British Columbia MusAssociation was the largest Musorganisation in Canada and operaschools and Islamic centres all over

province.“You do charitable works to help needy and less fortunate, Muslim non-Muslim, here in British Columand abroad. You help make this wonde

     province an even better place.”

Tate & Lyle No Longer Buys Fiji Sugar AtFair Trade PricesThe sugar industry is facing a majorhallenge after the buyers of Fiji sugar,

United Kingdom based Tate and Lyleecided to cease buying fair trade sugarrom Fiji.

The Fiji Sugar Cane Growers Councilays this will directly affect some 13housand farmers in the country as they

will lose millions of dollars in fair traderemiums every year.

t wasn’t certainly the news cane farmerswere anticipating.Cane farmers are projected to lose close to 9million dollars every year once Tate and Lyle

Association is concerned, the rst year wehave received 2.4 million dollars, secondyear was 1.4 million dollars, and this yearwas again 1.4 million. So basically wewould be losing about $2m per year,” said

Network of Asia-Pacic Producers boardmember, Praveen Singh.Premiums earned from the sale of fairtrade sugar were used to develop farmsand assist the famers in cane planting.

Sugar Cane Growers Council Chiefexecutive Sundresh Chetty says effortsare underway to ensure farmer do get

premiums from the sugar buyers.“In fact the Tate and Lyle were payingour industry at the tune of about $60USD

per ton of sugar that they were ablesell on fair-trade markets. I understthe highest that we received for fair-trwould have been around 70 thoustons of sugar,” Fiji Sugar GrowCouncil CEO, Sundresh Chetty said. With European Union’s preferential maaccess also coming to an end in 2017, Chsays will have a significant dent on the indu“Well what I understand is they h

The event hosted by Peter Raju did nothave any price tag for entry. The rumourmill does indicate of events with a pricetag of $250 but none had been conrmed

by anyone that they had paid $250 to seethe Prime Minister Bainimarama. As a publisher of the only Fijian news

French Couple Who Died In Desert GaveSon Extra Water, Sheriff Said

A French couple who died while hikingn a New Mexico desert on a 100-degree

day may have kept their 9-year-old sonalive by giving him extra water rations,

Otero County Sheriff Benny House said.Ornella Steiner, 51, and David Steiner,42, of Bourgogne, France, were founddead last week off a hiking trail in WhiteSands National Monument, a vast andreeless desert park about 226 milesrom Albuquerque.

Their son was found dehydrated, butalive beside his father's body, Houseaid, apparently unaware his mother was

already dead.Though the parents didn't carry enoughwater for the hike, they gave the boymore water than themselves, House said.

The parents would take a drink and givehim two drinks," House told CNN afliateKVIA. "I'm sure that's a contributingactor in how he fared so well."

Autopsies are not complete, but thedeaths appear to be heat-related, theheriff said.

Their deaths are highly unusual for theNational Park Service which operatesmore than 408 sites around the country.Between 2007 and 2014, there werenearly 2.3 billion visitors to the sites, according to NPS data. There were 1,025

atalities in national parks from a varietyof causes between 2007 and 2013 (noatality data was given for 2014). The

most common -- 365 -- were drowningdeaths, followed by 210 car crashes. Thehird leading cause of deaths during thatime frame were falls, numbering 178.

    Between 2007 and 2013, 26 national

park site visitors died of heat-relatedillness.Water is criticalThe boy's grandmother ew from

France to Albuquerque to care for him.Authorities are not releasing his name."It was the perfect storm for this family. They started off the trek with two20-ounce bottles of water. When wegot there, there was no water left in the

bottles," House said. The park newsletteradvises hikers to carry 1 gallon (128ounces) of water per person. The Steiner family apparently traveled tothe 275-square-mile park, last Tuesdayto admire the otherworldly beauty of thewave-like white dunes.Temperatures topped 100 degrees that

day -- normal for early August, saidMarie Sauter, the park superintendent."There is no shade," she said. "There is nocover. You are out exposed to the sun, thewind the heat, the reection of the sun off thewhite sand. It's a harsh desert environment."The family set out about noon on the AlkaliFlat Trail, a 4.6-mile loop marked only by

posts staked deep in the gypsum sand. After walking about a mile, they left thetrail and either rolled down or fell downthe dune, House said. The sheriff said he'sdoesn't know if that was accidental or not.

From what the boy told investigators, themother, who already wasn't feeling well, aggravated a previous knee injury. Sheheaded back to the trailhead, but madeit only about 300 feet before collapsing,House said.Park service employees on patrol foundthe mother dead around 5 p.m. Looking

at her camera, the deputy saw photosa man and boy at the park's entrance expanded the search.Searchers found David Steiner about

minutes later. The boy was beside father's body."He wasn't crying," House said, but "he dehydrated and of course he was upset."'Underestimated the desert'After parting ways with Ornella SteinDavid Steiner and his son apparencontinued walking for another 2,0feet, still off the trail and unaware of mother's collapse, the sheriff said. Tthe father collapsed.Through an interpreter, the boy describhis father as confused and having "his bearings," the sheriff said. Ho

said it appears the father was disorien-- common symptoms of heat stroaccording to the CDC.His tongue was swollen and he repeatetold his son "the truck is right up therthough they were more than a mile ithe trail, the sheriff said. The boy was taken to a hospital and Freconsular ofcials were notied, Hosaid. But the boy didn't speak Englishin the meantime the sheriff's ofce fouan interpreter -- the mother of a depugirlfriend, who is uent in French.

The Steiners' deaths were the third fourth at the park in the past 10 years, sheriff's ofce said. The sheriff said he thinks the Steinweren't prepared for the heat and they encountered."I just think they underestimated desert," he said.

The Epic Moment When Goddess Kali TookOver The Empire State Building In New York

Goddess Kali is regarded as the Goddessof death but the death of an ego. Of allhe forms of Devi, she is considered to

be the most compassionate one because

he provides moksha or liberation to herhildren. And now, people in New Yorkwould know about Her. Yeah, you readhat right.

Goddess Kali was displayed on to theconic Empire State building in New

York which is considered to be theallest building and also the key piece

of NYC skyline.Empire State building had started a newrend to feature extinct species across the

world. But, featuring Goddess Kali was a

class apart. Android Jones is the artistwho designed the portrait of Kali. Why Goddess kali? Because Sherepresents the destruction of evil,

Android thought it would be a good ideato feature Her. Hence, he opines thatShe would work as the epitome to ghtdangers and pollution.Recently, the much touted Cecil the lionwas also featured there. The death of thislion by an American dentist had causedinternational outrage. It was broadcast ina picture more than 350 feet tall and 180feet wide. Other than this, many animalswere featured to garner people’s attentionand subsequently, create awareness.

Why The Loonie's DeclineCould Mean A ‘Landslide'Against Harper

The Canadian dollar has been tradingnear 11-year lows of around 76 or 77ents U.S. over the past couple weeks,

and while that may seem to be a marginalssue in the federal election, if history is

any indicator, it could be a very bad signor the governing Conservatives.

Why? Because the last two governments tohold an election after a major drop in the looniewere wiped out in landslides, BloombergBusiness reports in an analysis of economicdata to watch ahead of the 2015 election. They produced a chart showing thehange in the Canadian dollar's valueor the 12 months ahead of every federallection in Canada since the loonie started

oating freely against other currencies in970. It showed that the largest declinesn the Canadian dollar — before this

most recent decline — preceded major

lectoral routs in 1984 and 1993.Bloomberg ran this chart titled “The loonieas predictor of landslides,” which wemarked up to highlight the relevant bits.n 1984, the Liberals under leader John

Turner got trounced in the federal election, giving Brian Mulroney’s Conservativeshe largest majority in Canadian history.

The loonie had fallen more than 7 perent in the year before the election.n 1993, that Conservative government,

now headed by Kim Campbell, wasnearly wiped out of Parliament entirelyby the Liberals under Jean Chretien. Theoonie had fallen nearly 8 per cent in the

12 months before that election. And now we are headed into an electionin which the loonie is 17 per cent lowerthan it was a year earlier — the largestone-year decline on record. If theseeconomic indicators are anything to go

by, the Harper government is headed fora record-breaking rout. But are they actually anything to go by, orwere these past landslides a coincidence?Certainly very few voters make adecision on who to vote for based onthe exchange rate. Research suggestsa falling currency is a good news/badnews story. If you’re a Canadian withan investment portfolio your foreigninvestments are worth more in loonieterms, and you feel richer. But if you’re

buying from abroad or travelling to aforeign country, you feel poorer.

And news reports of a loonie that keepshitting new lows can have a negativeimpact on the electorate, giving them theimpression of an unhealthy economy.Canada’s economy is certainly unhealthythese days, though it’s a matter of debate

just how serious the health problems are.The things that largely support the value ofthe loonie — particularly commodity prices

     — have been suffering, with the oil pricecollapse just the most obvious element. The oil, gas and mining sector was 7.3

per cent smaller in StatsCan’s GDPreport for June than it was a year earlier.Manufacturing, which accounts for the

bulk of Canada’s non-energy exports, w2.3 per cent smaller than a year earlierAnd just today TD Economics releaits latest report on commodity pricshowing another plunge in July. T

bank is now predicting its commod price index will hit its lowest point si2009, when the world was in the grof a nancial crisis, before starting

bounce back later this year and nWeaker commodity prices almost alwmean a weaker loonie.

The Bank of Montreal said Monday t prices for Canadian oil exports are aat their lowest point since 2009."The Canadian economy was already hit hin the rst half of 2015 by the initial huge din oil prices. If the latest slide persists, thwould likely be downside risk to our Gforecast" for the second half of the year, BMeconomist Benjamin Reitzes wrote. In this context, it seems more likely tif the Harper government loses powcome October, it will have more towith the country’s shaky economsituation than with the exchange rate tis a symptom of the problem.

Uncommon Signs Of A Cardiac ScareWhat a 38-year-old ad guy thought was acidity was in fact a heart attack. Mumbai cardiologists discuss uncommon sig

of a cardiac scareThe uneasiness 38-year-old advertisingprofessional Sachin Anand experiencedone night at his Napean Sea Road homewas quickly attributed to the doubleburger and 'large' fries he had devoured

hat afternoon. "I assumed it was acidity,"he says of the six month-old episode.I thought an antacid would clear thendigestion, and I even tried throwing

up, but couldn't."Within minutes, Anand experienceda shooting pain in his chest, whichxacerbated, while the feeling of nausea

got worse. "His jaw went stiff, and hewent cold," recalls his mother Renu, whoushed him to Breach Candy hospital.

What Anand thought was indigestionwas, in fact, a massive heart attack

ays his cardiologist Dr Dev Pahlajani. The chest pain, he explains, was dueo blockages caused by fatty depositsn an artery, cutting off blood supplyo the heart. This is called myocardialnfarction and could prove to be fatal.

Although most people associate anginaor heart attack with excruciating painn the centre of chest or behind breast

bone, it's often that the body sendsuncommon signals of a heart attack, hat patients are unable to decipher. Dr

Ajay Chaurasia, head of cardiology atTopiwala National Medical College and

BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, says,Pain related to heart attack is usuallyetro sternal or felt behind the breast

bone, and can mimic a heartburn causedby oesophagitis or acidity."We get the experts to highlight unusualigns of a cardiac scare that should raise

a red ag.Sign 1: Constant burpingYou may again mistake this for a

gastrointestinal problem, but Pahlajaniwarns that belching, especially whilewalking, could be a symptom of anginaor heart trouble. "This occurs due to theredistribution of blood to the intestines

and stomach just before a heart attack,"he says.Sign 2: Persistent pain in gums, teethPeople with periodontal or gum diseaseare nearly twice as likely to suffer heartdisease than those with healthy gums, warn doctors. That's because the same

bacteria that cause gum disease can alsospark inammation inside the body, damaging blood vessels. "So also," saysChaurasia, "pain in heart can radiate upto the jaw."Don't ignore a toothache or pain behind

the ears. "Pain occurs in this region because of the referred pain in thedistribution of the nerves that arise fromthe thoracic spine," explains Pahlajani."Occasionally, some patients also cometo me with unexplained headaches, especially in the occipital region of thehead."Sign 3: Poor performance in bedA poor heart condition, apart fromdyslipidemia or abnormal amountof cholesterol and fat in the blood, uncontrolled diabetes and hypertension, may also affect your sexual performance.

A man experiences an erection when blood is pumped into the penis. Difcultyin maintaining an erection is on accountof poor circulation. Clogged arteriesare where poor sexual performanceand heart disease meet. Arteries hardendue to buildup of plaque. The smallerarteries in the body, such as those inthe penis, are the rst to get pluggedup. Plaque reduces blood ow in the

penis, making an erection difcult. erectile dysfunction is an alert to lofor blockage in larger arteries, like inheart.Sign 4: Exhaustion

If you feel tired all day and hdifculty performing simple tasks walking, climbing stairs, driving carrying groceries, visit a cardiolog"Low output of blood from the hethe body's pumping station, into rest of the body can be a sign too," sPahlajani. The common signalsShooting pain in chest and left arOccurs because the same spinal segmsupplies the heart and left upper limbChest pain after a meal: Blood sup

to the intestines increases after mealorder to help digest food, and theref blood is diverted from the heart to intestine, which precipitates chest pif there's a blockage says PahlajaniExcessive sweating and palpitationfeeling that you are skipping a heartbor uttering in the chest is a signarrhythmias (irregular heart beat).Sudden loss of consciousndizziness, breathlessness with no chpain (common among diabetics)The upside of a heart scareThe sudden heart attack Sachin An

    Causes Of Pancreatitis

Pancreatitis is not a diagnosis most arewell aware of prior to ever developinghe ailment, as for some reason it isn’t

publicized that often, even though ithould be. Pancreatitis can be fatal if not

reated quickly, and it can also be lifehanging if yours is a chronic version

versus a one off acute episode. It occurswhen the pancreas is overworked tryingo breakdown all of your foods and

medications that you ingest. Think aboutverything you consume, from pills toocktails, to fatty foods, all have to gohrough the pancreas. It has a pretty bigob in the digestive cycle, and when itsn’t functioning as it should, it beginso be attacked by its own enzymesausing extreme pain and requiring

hospitalization in most cases.t’s reported that 7 out of every 10patients develop the illness from alcoholonsumption, but there are other reasons

one can become ill from pancreatitis aswell. Review the causes of pancreatitisand if you ever feel extreme stomach pain, vomiting, and develop a fever please geto your medical provider’s ofce at once.. Genetics

There are patients with pancreatitis thatimply developed it on a hereditary

basis. If your mother suffers from it,here is a good chance you at some point

may as well. Fortunately, most know ift is already common in their familieso catch it before it gets too problematic

and seek a specialist treatment plan earlyn life.

    2. AlcoholYou can’t talk about the pancreas without

mentioning alcohol; the two simply gohand in hand. Those drinks you poundedin your 20’s? They can come back tohaunt you at some point, so always drinkwith caution and drink plenty of water to

avoid pancreas issues whilst consumingcocktails of any sort.3. Prior SurgeriesThis isn’t hugely popular as far as diagnosesare concerned, but there are a number of

patients that have obtained the disorder asa result of having a previous surgery. Oftenthese patients will only develop an acuteversion of the illness versus the full blownchronic episodes while their bodies arehealing from the surgery.4. Poor DietYou are what you eat, and your pancreas

will reect that as you get older. Themore fatty foods you put into your body, the more your pancreas has to work extrahard to decompose them. Pancreatitiscan be controlled often by changing yourdiet in just a matter of weeks.5. GallstonesUsually upon being diagnosed with

pancreatitis, your doctor will wantimaging tests completed to see if youhave gallstones that could be causingyour pancreatitis. Most patients with

pancreatitis have their gallbladdersremoved as a precautionary measure to

avoid further attacks.6. MedicationsIf you are someone that pops over thecounter meds like candy, be warned thatit could result in effecting your pancreas.Prescription medications can also taketime for the pancreas to break down, so

always avoid taking medications as a resort to xing your illnesses if possib7. SmokingSmokers are prone to develop tof ailments including cancer,

pancreatitis. If you combine smokwith drinking and taking medicatiyou are essentially a ticking pancreattime bomb. Cut back or totally ssmoking as soon as possible to sgaining better health.8. Elevated CalciumIf your calcium levels are too hiyou could have a condition ca“hypercalcemia” which can also ca

pancreatitis. It can be as a result o parathyroid gland that is overactOften, your medical provider has

ability to run some tests and detect if tis the case for your pancreas issues.9. Drug Abuse

Not surprisingly, if you abuse strdrugs you will quickly deterioryour pancreas; among other orgaHopefully, your pancreatitis isn’t toogone that you can make some chanand start to feel better and get your

back. The plus side of this versionself-induced pancreatitis is that once

patient avoids drugs their bodies berepairing themselves rather quickly.10. Cystic Fibrosis

Those with cystic fibrosis are all familiar with their pancreas and dangers it can bring if it’s not healtMany develop pancreatitis both acute and the chronic versions wcystic fibrosis as a possible seffect.

Swollen Neck Glands 'Cancer Fear'PATIENTS who have persistently swollen neck glands should be referred for specialist investigation as the symptom cou

indicate cancer, according to new research.

A TEAM of scientists, led byhe University of Exeter MedicalSchool, say that such referrals

ould help to avoid some of thehousands of deaths each year fromymphoma.

More than 14,500 people are diagnosedwith a form of lymphoma in the UK eachyear, with nearly 5,000 dying from thedisease. The latest gures, from 1995 to 1999,how that more than 6,320 deaths were

avoidable in this period. The death rates higher in the UK than the average

    across Europe.

Experts say earlier diagnosis is key- currently more than 40 per cent of patients visit their GP with symptoms atleast three times before being referredfor cancer investigations. Two studies, by the University ofExeter Medical School and Universitiesof Oxford, Cambridge and Bangor, concluded that persistently swollen neckglands could indicate a high risk of thistype of cancer. The studies, published in the BritishJournal of General Practice, were therst to investigate the full risk prole

for both types of lymphoma in general

practice, where most patients attend.Professor Willie Hamilton, of University of Exeter Medical Schosaid: "Our research has revealed importance of persistent swollen lymglands, particularly in the neck, as pof cancer."Of course swollen glands are commwith throat infections, but in cancer, tare usually larger and painless."It's been known for a long time that tcould represent cancer - this study shothat the risk is higher than previou

    thought."

How To Discipline A Stubborn ChildChildren tend to be stubborn during theoddler and teenage years. Sometimes, its a part of their personalities that parents

are required to manage and in other casest is simply a way to test boundaries and

assert their own freedom to do somethingor not do something. Teaching stubbornhildren to express themselves and deal

with their stress in healthier ways ismportant. Discipline a stubborn child

by remaining calm, listening to andunderstanding the child and setting agood example of acceptable behavior.Steps

. Observing a Stubborn Child2. Stay calm.  When you respond totubbornness with anger or yelling, you

are reinforcing the child's belief thatnegative behaviors work.3. Watch how your child is acting. Hemay be refusing to do something or willontinue doing something after you haveold him not to.

Determine what is making the childuncomfortable or resistant. Childdevelopment experts believe childrenbecome stubborn when they are stressedor tense and they do not know a sociallyacceptable way to express those feelings.4. Remove the child from the situation. This might be a public place, where youhild is refusing to observe rules or the

dinner table, where she is not using proper manners or is refusing to eat.Give your child time to calm down. Onceshe is removed from the situation that

brought on the stubborn behavior, youwill have an opportunity to understand

the real problem.5. Listen to your child. Sometimes, instead of tricks or strategies, you justneed to communicate.Remember that one cause of stubborn

behavior can be that the child desiresmore attention from his parent. Giveyour child the time he needs to talkto you about what might be causing

problems or anxieties.6. Discipline with patience andaffection. Children need to feel safe andloved, even when they are in trouble.

Create a peaceful environment at homIf there is a lot of yelling, arguingthreatening, a child will adapt to it a

become more stubborn.Behave the way you expect your child

to behave. You need to be a role moIf your child sees you being stubboshe will act the same way becauseworks for you.7. Make positive behavior a privileFor a child who refuses to do chores, something like "would you like to hme put the laundry in?" Or, "if you argood listener today, I will let you set table for dinner."

    8. Demonstrate reward. Instead of say"you cannot ride your bike until you on a helmet" try "as soon as you putyour helmet, you get to ride your bik9. Provide options out of stubbobehavior. If your child refuses to gobed, instead of ghting it, offer sevedifferent options and your child cchoose one.Set the scene for cooperation. Insteadannouncing it is bedtime, say "It's 8Do you want to read a book rst, sinsong or have a cuddle?" This alerts child to the fact that it is bedtime whoffering enjoyable things to do as he gthere.

During this period, teens spend much ofhe day outside the home — at school

or at after-school activities or jobs andwith peers. But it's important to try toalk with your teen every day to share

opinions, ideas, and information. Here are a few tips to help youommunicate with your teen:

Make time during the day or evening tohear about your teen's activities; be surehat he or she knows you are activelynterested and listening carefully.

Remember to talk with your teen, not athim or her.Ask questions that go beyond "yes" orno" answers to prompt more developedonversation.

Take advantage of time during car tripsor standing in line at the supermarket toalk with your teen.

Provide activities that offer opportunitieso improve communication skills, such

as attending or engaging in sportingand school events, playing games, and

alking about current events.Vocabulary and Communication

Teens essentially communicate as adults, with increasing maturity throughout highschool. They comprehend abstract language, such as idioms, gurative language, andmetaphors. Explanations may becomemore gurative and less literal.Teens should be able to process texts andabstract meaning, relate word meaningsand contexts, understand punctuation, and form complex syntactic structures. However, communication is more thanthe use and understanding of words; it alsoincludes how teens think of themselves, their peers, and authority gures. As teens seek independence from familyand establish their own identity, they beginthinking abstractly and become concernedwith moral issues. All of this shapes theway they think and communicate. If You Suspect a ProblemYou should have ongoing communicationwith your teen's teachers about overalllanguage skills and progress. If theteachers suspect a language-based learning

disability, comprehensive testing will be necessary. This can include a hearing

test, psycho-educational assessm(standardized testing to assess learnstyle as well as cognitive processes), speech-language evaluation.A teen with a specic communicadifculty, such as persistent stuttering, sho

be referred to the school speech-langu pathologist (an expert who evaluates treats speech and language disorders).Persistent stuttering and vocal-qua

problems such as hoarseness, breathinor raspiness may require a medevaluation by an otolaryngologist ear, nose, and throat specialist). But in most cases, language difculwill have been identied before this aHowever, increasing academic troubmight indicate subtle problems.Parents often feel that the teen yeare a time of difcult communicatiwhen it's normal for teens to challe
