1 Function

Radio Operation and Maintenance Subsystem (ROS) in Base Station Controller (BSC) controls

the functional behavior of the exchange using exchange properties. The value of the property

defines the choice of functional alternatives.

This Application Information describes the BSC exchange properties that are possible to be

printed and changed.

The handling of the BSC exchange properties depends on the type of the parameter that can be

mandatory or optional. If the type of the property is mandatory, the application-dependent

value of the parameter will be set with the change command before it can be used. If the type

is optional, the default value given in this Application Information is used as a preset value.

However, a new value within the value range can be set with the change command. The value

is numeral if no other is stated.

The blocks listed as owners after each property informs block ROEPC during system restart

which exchange properties they need. When the property value is changed by the command

RAEPC, block ROEPC sends the request to each one of the owners to check if the property value is accepted or not. If all owners accept the new property value, block ROEPC sends it for storage in the owners, which perform actions according the new value.

The properties are listed under the function group where they belong according to FS Survey.
