Plot/ Film Idea

Parents die. Amy moves in with her sister. They have to look after each other and themselves.

Her sister applies a lot of pressure because they do not have parents to do so. She gets involved with the wrong crowd and starts doing drugs/alcohol etc. One day she

overdoses, where she nearly loses her life. This is a turning point for her where she realises her actions are

affecting not only herself but her sister.

Does she get away from that group? Does she realise and grow up/get help? Does she have a better

relationship with her sister?

Character 1 – Amy Main character, sister of Jade.Age: 16 School: Sixth Form College Siblings: One sister, JADEPersonality: Shy but becomes confident, intelligent, quiet, desperate to fit in, sad, hard working, easily manipulated/ lead. Background: Her parents died (at the beginning of the film) and has moved with in her sister. Amy also has moved school and is desperate to fit in. Her sister is pressurising so Amy gets stressed and feels like she is not worthy or good enough. Once these girls, Molly, Hannah and Chloe, start to talk to her and listen to her, she feels apart of something and accepted so starts to get involved with the group.

Character 2 – Jade Older sister of Amy.Age: 19School: University and working part time. Siblings: One younger sister, AMY.Personality: strong willed, confident, pressurising, hard working, opinionated, kind but a bad listener.

Background: Since her parents died she has always looked after Amy. She feels that this is her priority and must do best by her sister, hence why she is constantly arguing with her sister as she just wants her to do well. She struggles with balancing work and university but refuses to ask for help because she doesn’t want to lose her sister to social services.

Character 3 - MollyLeader of the group. Friends are Chloe and Hannah. Age: 16School: Sixth Form College.Personality: manipulating, selfish, bully, insecure, attention-seeking, lots of attitude, jealous.

Background: She is insecure and is need for constant attention (that she doesn’t get from her parents?). Hence why she has her clique that follow her every move. She gets involved in drugs, alcohol etc in order to fit in and seem ‘cool’. She sees Amy as a victim, another easy target to join her clique.

Characters 4 & 5 – Hannah and ChloeHannah.Age: 16School: Sixth Form College.Personality: unintelligent, easily lead, follows others to fit in, loud, girly, creative but doesn’t show it.

Background: Hannah is really creative but doesn’t show it as she fears humiliation. She has known Molly for years so they are very close. Hannah always sticks up for Molly because Molly is the only person who seems to accept Hannah.

Chloe.Age: 16School: Sixth Form College.Personality/Description: geeky but confident, pretty, nice, opinionated.

Background: She isn’t as close to the other two. She doesn’t always agree with Molly’s ways and they are always bickering. However, she stays friends with Molly and Hannah because she wants to be popular and not ‘just the geeky kid’.
