• In fifteen years, vehicle traffic increased from 32.10 lakh (1997/98 – 1.34 crore people) to 74.53 lakh (2011-12 for 1.68 million)

Inter State Bus Terminals (ISBTs)
• These 3 ISBTs cater to average 3.701-lakh passengers and 5235 buses/ trips per day. Two more ISBTs at Dwarka and Narela on BOT basis.
Delhi Transport Development Corporation (DTDC)
• The cap on the number of auto rickshaws has been increased to one Lakh (from the existing 55,000 autos)
• GPSs have been installed in about 3000 DTC and cluster buses.

• The total strength of the buses was 2669 in 97-98 and has become 5,609 in 12-13
• There are 27 Women Special Buses that are running as of today in Delhi, while there were 0 in 1997-98.

• People from all over India, especially North India, come to Delhi for treatment at the State and Central Government hospitals.
• 30 percent patients in Delhi Government Hospitals are from outside Delhi

• There has been an unprecedented growth in dispensaries by Delhi Government. Most of these dispensaries are also running 24 hours. 134 have own buildings, compared to just 81 in 1997/98.
