Blueprint
Rationale
In the final design blueprint, the boat consists of a bowl, tape, and aluminum foil. The tape and aluminum foil cover the majority of the bowl to prevent water from leaking in. The cup and balloon have been removed from the boat due to the results of the prior investigation. In the prior investigation, it was discovered that the boat with a balloon reduced to a circumference of 0 cm held the most mass, 408.5 grams. The boat with a balloon of a circumference of 35 cm held only 9.5 grams. Since the balloon had a circumference of 0 cm, the balloon was just more weight. So, it was removed. The cup is also an unnecessary weight as it was used to carry the pennies. Now that the bowl isn’t holding the balloon, the pennies can occupy its space.
