MC Shimla have received 60 applications under component- 2(CLS) and 13 applications under component -4. DPRs for the Component 2 &4 are approved in the Hon’ble MC House on dated 29th of April 2016. DPRs will be further submitted to the UD Shimla within one week. It is decided in the Hon’ble MC House that no application will be received under the com- ponent 1 & 3 without land identification and land clearance. A detailed survey will be con- ducted in the month of May 2016 for the physical verification of the information submitted by the beneficiaries. Project Development and Management Consul- tancy for AMRUT, the biders were called for the PDMC for making SLIP and SAAP. The bids was opened at 21-o3-2016 , after opened the bids, the technical evaluation of bids can be done. After that financial bids was opened at 04-04-2016. The financial bid was opened only those bid- ers which were qualified in technical evaluation . Play on Disaster Management 28th

March to 20th April 2016 :Under BUARE

Phase-I, Community BasedDisaster Risk

management training has been given to

3500 ward citizens over the past 6

months .. The Play has been performed

in 24 schools of Shimla City. The 25 min-

ute long play provided practical knowl-

edge on disaster management while pro-

viding humor & entertainment to the

students.

Rejuvenating the traditional water sources to

augment water security in Shimla Municipal Cor-

poration Area: Municipal Corporation Shimla

received Rs. 19,00,000/- under Small Grant

Fund - ACCCRN and ICLEI-SA and also re-

ceived Rs 1,00,00,000/- under AMRUT to

implement this project. As a pilot project,

water from 9 bowries in various parts of the

city will be made drinkable with the help

of modern filtration techniques .

were also fixed by the MC Shimla .

141 educational institutions

were visited and have been ad-

vised to clean their water storage

tank before opening of Schools.

Again these are being visited by

nodal officers to have interaction

sure compliance.

For cleaning of individuals tanks,

age tanks.

MC Shimla carried out

an aggressive drive on

13th and 14th February

2016 by involving 25

nodal officers & field

staff to revisit the house-

holds of affected wards

and again advise them to

re-clean tanks and con-

sume boiled water.

Total households revisited

were >8000. Pamphlets

were also distributed.

As a precautionary

measure, MC Shimla re-

cleaned all the storage

tanks located in Shimla

including water reservoir

at Ridge and Sanjauli.

programme Basic Services for Urban Poor (BSUP)

under JNNURM, in 1st Phase 05 families were

allotted houses near Dhalli Tunnel, Shimla by

Hon’ble Chief Minister, GoHP, The scheme en-

visages allocation of 94 houses to BPL families in

Shimla city . The remaining 89 houses of IInd

Phase can be given very soon.

Parking at Vikas Nagar The parking project has been awarded to M/s Rudra-XI In-frastructure Pvt. Ltd. And the concession Agreement was signed on dated 15-09-2012. The concession period will be 40 years with the concession fee amounting to Rs. 16.00 lakh per annum with increase of 10% after every three years over the previous annual con-cession fee. This parking com-plex will be constructed on 1062 Sqm. Total174 vehicles can be parked. This will be 10 storey structures out of which

The work of construction of Children Park has been

completed. The total expenditure incurred for the

construction of Children Park is Rs. 18.76 Lacs. Fur-

ther the tenders were called twice for the construc-

tion of community centre .

Now the tender have been received for construc-

tion of community centre, construction of 300

dwelling units and construction of approach road.

The codal formalities are being completed. The con-

struction work of approach road has been started

and the approximate cost of this work will be Rs. 80

lacs.

Government of India had announced a scheme for slum dwellers named Rajiv Awas Yo-

jana (RAY). Rajiv Awas Yojana (RAY) envisages a “Slum Free India” with inclusive and

equitable cities in which every citizen has access to basic civic infrastructure, social

amenities and decent shelter.

Municipal Corporation Shimla had prepared a Pilot DPR amounting to Rs. 3399.65 Lacs

for Krishna Nagar Slum under Rajiv Awas Yojana (RAY). Himachal Pradesh is a special

category State which qualifies for 90:10 financial assistance under RAY i.e 90% the Pro-

ject cost i.e Rs. 2762.21 Lacs will be funded by GOI and rest 10% i.e Rs. 489.56 Lacs will

be the state, ULB, and beneficiaries Share.
