choice of jobs. For all job hunters out there, here are a few

beneficial job hunting skills that will help you find the right job.

1. Relax your mind and first decide on what type of job you are

looking for, a fully time or a part time job.

2. Jot down how much time you are willing to spend on

hunting for a job – one or two hours a day or throughout

each day, one or two days in a week or fortnight

3. Once you have set your schedules for job hunting, make it a

point to open your diary each day and see what you have

planned for that day. Work according to your plans each

day.

4. With this diary schedule you then have to register with job

agencies or attend walk in interviews and also register with

job boards.

How to face a job interview?

Once you are given an interview call, then it’s time to prepare for

the interview.

1. Start preparing for your interview well in advance – 4 to 6

hours before.

2. Read up about the company/organization. Get to know about

the services and key products of the company. Find out

about the company’s structure, size and turn growth

structure, who are the main clients etc. before attending the

interview.

3. Make a note of the questions you will like to ask your

employer if needed.

4. Be prepared for a psychometric test or an assessment test

that your employer will ask you to attend.

5. If you are not well equipped about a certain topic during the

interview, don’t speak much on that topic. Don’t try to show

your employer that you know everything.

6. Make sure you carry with you a copy of your CV and a

cover letter addressed to the respective organization that has

called you for the interview.

Always remember that the first impression is the best impression;

hence always be prepared to face your employers neatly dressed

and presentable. Be punctual for your interview and also to work

each day.
