Kö-Bogen, Düsseldorf Kö-Bogen is a prestigious mixed-use retail and commercial development designed by the world-renowned architect Daniel Libeskind. AECOM provided LEED certification services for the project. It was awarded two Platinum ratings under “LEED for Core & Shell Projects Version 3.0”.

LinkedIn, MunichAECOM provided a detailed design concept for LinkedIn’s German headquarters for up to 100 employees and guests. Our services included design, cost management, workplace management and real estate management, tendering and purchasing, and site management. The resulting concept “Work-Play-Energize!” hosts the team in the heart of Munich and connects it worldwide through IT and AV integration.

Shell Technology Centre HamburgThe STCHA is a world-class research site where Shell Germany researches and develops fuels and lubricants. Shell commissioned AECOM to conduct a feasibility study and develop a sustainable concept for refurbishment and future site development.AECOM also developed the concept design for new facilities of the site, using 3D modelling. A focus of the project was detailed cost estimates and the elaboration of an implementation concept.

Siemens Healthineers, ErlangenAECOM is providing architecture, project management, and controlling and financial services for the €100 million redevelopment of the headquarters of Siemens Healthineers, one of the world’s largest healthcare providers.The redevelopment included the construction of a new building, built to LEED standards, with 20,000 square metres GFA, and an underground car park for 240 vehicles.

Innovative solutions for a cleaner tomorrow

Deutsche Bahn, Frankfurt German railway operator Deutsche Bahn is building a new S-Bahn line to connect Gateway Gardens, a new 35-hectare business district, with Frankfurt Airport. The route is located within a Drinking Water Protection Area and includes the construction of a tunnel. AECOM is conducting an extensive program of groundwater monitoring to assess the potential impact of components and hydro-chemicals reaching the groundwater through the construction.

Wind farm EHS coordination, Baltic SeaAECOM took over the health, safety and environmental (HSE) coordination during the construction of a wind farm belonging to a major multinational electric utility company. Located some 30 km from Rügen, Germany, in the Baltic Sea, the wind farm comprises 70 wind turbines. In addition to managing the work permit procedure on the construction site, we provided a 24/7 service which included support in emergency management, ship inspections, testing procedures and risk assessments, and liaising with relevant authorities.

Due diligence assessments, Central EuropeAECOM conducted a technical and environmental due diligence assessment for a client’s portfolio of nearly 80 power plants and installations spread across Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. The installations ranged from mine gas, biogas and geothermal facilities to fossil-fuel-fired cogeneration plants.

Support with complex permit applications For nearly 10 years, AECOM has been serving several chemical technical large-scale plants in Germany. We act as the link between building contractors, engineering partners, client HSE departments and national regulatory authorities.We create comprehensive approval documentation for all types of new and reconstructed industrial plants, and the installation of infrastructure such as pipelines, power lines and rail transport. Among others, the application documents contain security reports, protection and security concepts, emission projections, waste disposal concepts and initial status reports.

Europacity, BerlinAECOM provided planning services for the clearing of the land onto which Europacity, a new urban quarter in Berlin, is being constructed. Services included evaluating and dismantling building stock, developing resource-saving measures for disposing construction waste, and monitoring deadlines, budgets and planning requirements.

JadeWeserPort, WilhelmshavenPositioned in Wilhelmshaven on a bay on the North Sea coast, JadeWeserPort operates as the easternmost deep-water container port in Europe, and the only deep-water port in Germany. It is able to provide berths for large commercial container ships traversing the North Sea to and from Russia, Scandinavia, and the Baltic States. AECOM has been providing co-ordination, controlling and supervisory services since 2008.

Ramstein Air Base, KaiserslauternAECOM provides general architectural and engineering services for the Ramstein Air Base on behalf of the U.S. Air Force. The base serves as the headquarters for the U.S. Air Force in Europe and Africa and is a NATO installation.AECOM renders multi-discipline services required for the design of various U.S. military buildings, structures and facilities. Specific disciplines range from general architectural services, interior design and space planning, and landscape architecture to electrical, civil, and mechanical engineering. Design work can involve major and minor construction projects and the rehabilitation of various structures.
