PRODUCT PROPOSAL: Malunggay-Calamansi Tea Drink

1. BACKGROUNDThe Moringa oleifera known as malunggay in the Philippines is a very common plant. This backyard plant can grow in almost anywhere with soil, water and sunlight. Malunggay leaves are packed with so much nutrients that is used to combat malnutrition in poverty-stricken countries in South-east Asia. Making tea out of boiled malunggay leaves and calamansi juice is very refreshing and beneficial for the body. It is a convenient thirst-quencher and source of vitamins and minerals.

It also has an edge on the Filipino market since they are already well-informed about malunggay and calamansi. The product can accommodate a very large market as well.
