How to use HOMEOPATHY?

• This highly diluted medicine can be taken in

medicated granules, pillules or liquids.

• Usually away from food on clean mouth

away from strong smells and tastes– Store in a cool, dark, dry place away from smells

• Rule of Thumb : – Frequent dosage for acute conditions.

– Higher potencies for high energy illnesses.

– Dose to effect: The better you get the less you require

the medicine

When is it not safe to use

HOMEOPATHY in 1st AID?

• In critical / life threatening cases where

there is risk of bleeding out, or choking, or

loosing consciousness, or severe trauma it

is best to use the remedies on your way to

the hospital or Veterinary surgery.

– Snake bite

– Allergy to insect stings

– Fractures

– Large lacerations, internal bleeding

When is it not safe to use

HOMEOPATHY in 1st AID?

• If a condition does not improve within a reasonable

amount of time.

– Acute < 1-2d (e.g. Vomiting, Allergies, Stings)

– Peracute < 3-5d (e.g. Diarrhoea, Sprains, Cough)

– Chronic < 5-7d (e.g. Hayfever, IBD, Arthritis)

• If a condition deteriorates at all

– Acute < 1-4 hours (e.g. Bleeding, Vomiting)

– Peracute < 4-24 hrs (e.g. Kennel Cough, Cystitis)

– Chronic < 1-3d (e.g. Colitis, Rhinitis, Limping)

When is it safe to use

HOMEOPATHY in 1st AID?

• All non-life threatening cases can be

considered for homeopathy as long as the

correct remedy choice is used.

• If a condition is ambiguous, have it diagnosed

first.

• Even in critical / life threatening cases you can

use it as an adjunct to Conventional Treatment(fractures, wound healing, pain management, snake bites,

spider bites).Unless stated, SN 1st aid combinations can be safely

used to complement general medicine.
