  • Worship and Praise Service

    October 25th, 2015

    Welcome to worship at First Chris"an Church!

    Each week we offer two different worship services:

    8:15 am service features tradi"onal worship and

    10:30 am service features modern worship.

    Kent Hickerson will share the communion and

    offering devo"ons this morning.

    When communion is served, we invite all Christ Followers

    to par"cipate, partaking of the bread as it is passed and

    retaining the cup un"l we can all partake together.

    Today we begin a 7-week series on Ma0hew 5-7.

    Greg Taylor will share a message en"tled,

    “The Sermon on the Mount -

    Jesus’ Magna Carta (great charter).”

    First Kids youth group will not meet tonight because of Fan

    the Flame

    At 5pm, REVEAL for Jr. High and Sr. High will meet at the

    Cable Building for Fan the Flame

  • We have several Sunday School classes from 9:30am-10:15am that can

    provide an opportunity for you to get be.er connected with our FCC

    family. Find a class that fits best for you, and ask a volunteer at the

    informaon desk to help you locate your classroom.

  • The 7th year for Grab N Go is coming up soon

    on December 12th. Kenje Underwood has done

    a fabulous job in years past leading the set up

    and donations the entire week before GNG, but

    she has had to step down this year. We are

    looking for someone to take over in this

    capacity. If you are interested in serving in this

    much needed role, please contact Marcia Wise,

    Fall is here which means Thanksgiving is right around the

    corner. Every year our Benevolence Ministry gives out

    Thanksgiving boxes to those who may not be able to afford

    food for their Thanksgiving dinner. Forms are available in the

    office and at the information booth to turn in the name of a

    family in need. The final date to turn in a form is November

    12th. Please consider suggesting a family who could be

    blessed by this ministry!

    Thank you notes were received from Lincoln Christian

    University for participating in their Internship Fair and

    from the family of Iona Murphy. The notes are on

    display on the bulletin board by the office.

  • BLOOD PRESSURE

    FCC will be offering free blood pressure checks Nov 1st

    Where: Church Library

    When: 9 am - 9:30 am

    11:30am - noon

    This is not a diagnosis, just a

    measuring & recording of your

    blood pressure.

    Nursery Ministry needs your help!! We are short

    handed on volunteers during the Sunday School

    hour. Would you consider serving one Sunday a

    month to help with the babies in our church? If so

    please contact Sonna Hoke at 935-5596 or call

    the church office.

    Discover FCC will be held on Sunday,

    November 1st at 5:30pm in the Family Life

    Center. This class is for those who are

    interested in joining FCC or are interested in

    knowing more about our church and our

    history. Please contact Adam Brucker or the

    church office, 935-3139, for more information.

    Angel Tree is currently taking applications for families needing holiday help with kid’s clothing and toy gifts. Applications are due October 31st. Please call Anita Russell for more information, 935-2455.

  • JH Reveal Student Ministry: Breakfast Club is at 7:15am every Friday morning in The Cable Building.

    Reveal is Sunday nights from 5pm-7pm in The Cable Building. Reveal Students will be attending Fan The Flame TONIGHT at 5pm. Meet at the Cable Building. Reminder: Reveal students will be doing a bake sale tonight during the Fan the Flame concert. Each student needs to bring a couple baked food items to sell to raise money for God’s Shelter of Love. If possible, please have baked item packaged to sell.
