Potential Environmental Impacts & Benefits• Studies from Denmark, the

Netherlands, and the United Kingdom have all found that offshore wind farms: o Have minimal negative effects

on wildlife living in the area between offshore wind installations

o Promote a higher diversity of marine life around the wind turbine foundations

o Are generally avoided by migratory birds
