I. Board meeting called to order by Kathy Greenwood at 10:30 am.II. Minutes from the January, 2014 meeting were approved. Motion made by Shelley

Golden and 2nd by Sue Morrissey.Kathy Greenwood, Presidenta. Kathy introduced Sandi Ybarra and Rosemary Lloyd from the COAD CommunityOrganizations Active in Disaster) foundation. Sandi is the chairperson of theAnimal Retrieval and Sheltering Committee. See attachments for moreinformation.

b. The County inspectors visited the zoo and brought it to our attention that theGrazing Corral needs a permanent shed that will house the refrigerators. The costwill be $1700 which includes painting and installing. A motion was made byDonna Blatherwick and 2nd by Beth Kako to purchase the shed. All approved.

V. COO Shelley Golden.a. Shelley announced that Gale (Office Manager) will begin working as a part timekeeper at the zoo. This is in addition to working in the office 4 days a week.

Bill Treadwell, Vice Presidenta. Plans for the Blues for the Zoo are coming along well. Next meeting is on March12that 4:00.

Susan Amerson, Parliamentarian AbsentDonna Blatherwick, Director at Largea. Nothing new to report at this timeDean Nichols, Social Media Reportera. Nothing to report at this timeCheryl Moore, Gift Shop. Director at Large AbsentSue Morrissey, Critter Chatter, Paw Printsa. Beginning with the next issue of Critter Chatter, Sue will be doing a feature article on adocent. This month Kimberlee Kidd has been selected. Anyone willing to shareinformation on themselves should attach Sue.

Beth Kako, Director at Largea. On April 12th,the Wolf Pups will be celebrating their 5thbirthday. Beth needs volunteersto bake cupcakes that will be sold at the party.

Gale Nichols, office report.a. The Gift Shop sales brought in $12,678 for the month of January. Of that amount, $9300was from merchandise. This doubles last year at this time.

b. The 2013 Christmas cards have brought in $25,832_

c. Adoptions have brought in $1050.d. Gale has started a program that features ads for the zoo at four bus stops in Big Bear.This will take place for the next 6 months.

e. Gale is talking with the Groupon people that would offer discounts on the FOBBAZmemberships.

f. Gale is looking into getting a billboard that features the zoo. The billboard will be locateddown the hill.

XIV. Len Backus, Donation Cans Absenta. Kathy reported total can donation for January was $539.90.

XV. Lori Judda. Lori Judd reported that the Golf Tournament that was held on February 7thwas a hugesuccess. The net profit that will be used for the new Snow Leopard enclosure wasbetween $18000-$19000.
