A Note on the Governor General of Canada's Academic Medals. Two prestigious Governor General of Canada's Academic Medals are awarded annually by the University of Windsor. The Gold Medal is awarded to a graduating Graduate student at the Fall Convocation ceremonies and the Silver Medal is awarded to a graduating Undergraduate honours program student at the Spring Convocation ceremonies. The Governor General's Gold Medal is awarded to the graduate level student who achieves the highest academic standard. The Awards Committee takes into consideration not only the academic average of the graduate but also other academic indicators such as scholarships, publications, research, etc. The Governor General's Silver Medal is awarded to the undergraduate honours program graduating student deemed to be the most outstanding in their field, in relation to their graduating peers. University of Windsor rings and a large variety of souvenir items are available for purchase from the University Bookstore temporary locations in the St. Denis Centre.

A photography service is available in St. Denis Centre during graduation.

A note of appreciation… The Office of the Registrar coordinates Convocation ceremonies with the cooperation and assistance of administrative and academic units across the campus. We wish to thank all those individuals who have played a role in welcoming the estimated 12,500 guests and graduates who will attend Spring ceremonies this year.
