Ways to Help in the Community

In April Rock Springers sent more than 60 cards to members and friends through our card ministry and knittedcrocheted more than seven prayer shawls as part of our handmade ministry These visible symbols of compassion comfort and support for one another are uplifting signs in this time We always welcome others to these ministries contact Jean Webb for the card ministry and Peggy Greenwood or Janelle Swensson for the handmade ministry

The Social Action and Mission (SAM) Board voted at our May meeting to grant AFAC and Arlington Thrive $10000 each These organizations provide emergency food and rental assistance in our community Need has risen dramatically for both organizations Arlington Thrive has given out about $100000 per week in rental assistance for the past several weeks and they anticipate the need staying at this level as we move into June

Volunteer Arlington is regularly updating volunteer opportunities on their website There are additional in-person ways to engage as a volunteer now from helping with food distribution to giving out masks to nonprofits

Ways to Help in the Community

In April Rock Springers sent more than 60 cards to members and friends through our card ministry and knittedcrocheted more than seven prayer shawls as part of our handmade ministry These visible symbols of compassion comfort and support for one another are uplifting signs in this time We always welcome others to these ministries contact Jean Webb for the card ministry and Peggy Greenwood or Janelle Swensson for the handmade ministry

The Social Action and Mission (SAM) Board voted at our May meeting to grant AFAC and Arlington Thrive $10000 each These organizations provide emergency food and rental assistance in our community Need has risen dramatically for both organizations Arlington Thrive has given out about $100000 per week in rental assistance for the past several weeks and they anticipate the need staying at this level as we move into June

Volunteer Arlington is regularly updating volunteer opportunities on their website There are additional in-person ways to engage as a volunteer now from helping with food distribution to giving out masks to nonprofits

In April Rock Springers sent more than 60 cards to members and friends through our card ministry and knittedcrocheted more than seven prayer shawls as part of our handmade ministry These visible symbols of compassion comfort and support for one another are uplifting signs in this time We always welcome others to these ministries contact Jean Webb for the card ministry and Peggy Greenwood or Janelle Swensson for the handmade ministry

The Social Action and Mission (SAM) Board voted at our May meeting to grant AFAC and Arlington Thrive $10000 each These organizations provide emergency food and rental assistance in our community Need has risen dramatically for both organizations Arlington Thrive has given out about $100000 per week in rental assistance for the past several weeks and they anticipate the need staying at this level as we move into June

Volunteer Arlington is regularly updating volunteer opportunities on their website There are additional in-person ways to engage as a volunteer now from helping with food distribution to giving out masks to nonprofits

Ways to Help in the Community

In April Rock Springers sent more than 60 cards to members and friends through our card ministry and knittedcrocheted more than seven prayer shawls as part of our handmade ministry These visible symbols of compassion comfort and support for one another are uplifting signs in this time We always welcome others to these ministries contact Jean Webb for the card ministry and Peggy Greenwood or Janelle Swensson for the handmade ministry

The Social Action and Mission (SAM) Board voted at our May meeting to grant AFAC and Arlington Thrive $10000 each These organizations provide emergency food and rental assistance in our community Need has risen dramatically for both organizations Arlington Thrive has given out about $100000 per week in rental assistance for the past several weeks and they anticipate the need staying at this level as we move into June

Volunteer Arlington is regularly updating volunteer opportunities on their website There are additional in-person ways to engage as a volunteer now from helping with food distribution to giving out masks to nonprofits

In April Rock Springers sent more than 60 cards to members and friends through our card ministry and knittedcrocheted more than seven prayer shawls as part of our handmade ministry These visible symbols of compassion comfort and support for one another are uplifting signs in this time We always welcome others to these ministries contact Jean Webb for the card ministry and Peggy Greenwood or Janelle Swensson for the handmade ministry

The Social Action and Mission (SAM) Board voted at our May meeting to grant AFAC and Arlington Thrive $10000 each These organizations provide emergency food and rental assistance in our community Need has risen dramatically for both organizations Arlington Thrive has given out about $100000 per week in rental assistance for the past several weeks and they anticipate the need staying at this level as we move into June

Volunteer Arlington is regularly updating volunteer opportunities on their website There are additional in-person ways to engage as a volunteer now from helping with food distribution to giving out masks to nonprofits

Weekly Zoom Events for Children amp Youth

NEW - Story amp Stretch Tuesdays at 930 am Beginning June 9 the Zoom Playdate is morphing into ldquoStory amp Stretchrdquo which will combine Gospel stories with mindfulness and yoga Aimed primarily at children preschool-5th grade this engaging experience will allow us to experience our bodies as sacred places to listen for God Each session will include a mindfulness practice Gospel story sequence of yoga poses to recreate the story discussion and time for relaxation Ashley will lead the sessions live Tuesday mornings at 930 am via Zoom (link httpsus02webzoomusj223681043) The session will also be recorded and afterwards will be uploaded to Rock Springrsquos YouTube channel (AV at Rock Spring) so that families can access it anytime
