1. Introduction

The Crows Gulch property is the site of the Marysvale sedimentary Manganese occurrence in the area know to locals as The Scrapes, and the historic Crows Gulch shaft and open cut referred to by Howley and Murray in the 1880's. This report encompasses prospecting activities on mineral licences 18066m and 18084m in 2011.

2. Property location & Access

The property is located on the west side of Colliers Bay, Conception Bay (Figure 1) with road access from the towns of Marysvale and Colliers (Figure 2). The northeast corner having the U.T.M. Coordinates of 5,261,000 N, 333,500 E of Zone 22, NTS 1N/06, NAD 27. Access to the property can be obtained from Route 60, local community roads by boat from Colliers Bay.(Figure 2).

3. CLAIM STATUS

The Crows Gulch Property consists of 2 mineral licences totaling 5 claim blocks, four in mineral license 18066m and one claim block in licence 18084m, staked in October 2010.

4. HISTORY AND PREVIOUS WORK

1842 Jukes records an unconformity of the Cambrian & Precambrian rocks of the Avalon Peninsula (Jukes, 1842)

1850's workings consisted of: 10 m adit driven at sea level in English Cove; an open cut and shaft at Crows Gulch; 30m shaft at Colliers River; and 55 m shaft at Turks Gut. (Martin,1980)

1919 Buddington describes the Marysvale Fault (Buddington,1919)

1957 McCartney maps the Holyrood area for the Geological Survey of Canada (McCartney, 1957)

1967 McCartney produces Memoir 341 and map of the Holyrood & Whitborne areas for the Geological Survey of Canada, locally describes the Mn occurrences and maps the geology of the local area of Colliers Bay. (McCartney, 1967)

1980's An Honor's student studies the paleo magnetism of the conglomerate and flow top breccia in the Marysvale area with results indicating an intrusive body. (Hodych, 2007)

1990's O'Brien studies the 1N/06 and 1N/07 areas, bounded by the Topsail Fault to the east and the Marysvale Fault to the West and comments on the copper occurrences, including a newly discovered algal sedimentary copper in the area. (O'Brien,1996; O'Brien,2002)

1996 Morgan studies English Cove area as part of thesis for Honors degree in geology (Morgan,1996).

1998 Wilton writes report for Copper Hill and describes a disseminated copper occurrence near the English Cove adit, assays were reported grading up to 33.4% Cu and 7.9 oz/t Ag from grab samples and a 10m vein chip sample grading 1.45% Cu and 0.83 oz/t Ag (Wilton,1998).

5. REGIONAL AND LOCAL GEOLOGY

The Crows Gulch property is part of the Avalon Zone of Eastern Newfoundland. This zone occupies the northern most portion of the Appalachian Avalonian Belt, a succession of late Proterozoic age volcanic, plutonic and volcanic sedimentary rocks, extending from the Avalon Peninsula, through the Atlantic provinces to the Carolinas and Northern Georgia, a distance of 3000 km (Williams, 1979).

Regional Geology

The region is mapped by King as (King,1988):

Adeyton Group:

Chamberlains Brook formation: green and red shale or slate and thin limestone beds; manganiferous bed near base; spilitic cherty pillow lava.

Brigus Formation: red, pink and green shale or slate and thin limestone beds; basal conglomerate where formation rests directly on Precambrian rocks.

Harbour Main Group:

member Hhb: Green to purple basaltic flows and pyroclastic rocks, clastic sedimentary rocks and gabbro

Conception Group:

Drook Formation: green siliceous siltstone and sandstone; silicified tuff.

The Harbour Main group is over lain by the Adeyton Group and then the Conception group in the property, though this relationship could be altered due to a number of faults emanating from the Marysvale fault, possibly rearranging the generally accepted sequence of sedimentary formations in the region.

6. EXPLORATION PROGRAM 2011

Crows gulch adit & shaft (Location A)

This area had been noted by Murray & Howley in the 1880's as having noted copper mineralization, since this time there is no record of exploration or development of the prospect. At this location is an open cut extending from sea level to 80 m, appearing to be cut adjacent to a mafic dike or large fault in the basalt unit, on a shear. At the top of the open cut there are no tailings and or evidence of any mineralization (top seen on upper right corner of photo). Approximately 30 meters north of the open cut is a shaft with a depth of > 10 m, at the top of the ridge in center of the photo. On strike with the mineralized fault on which the shaft was sunk, an old water filled trench and open cut are seen on the western side of the ridge in the center of the photo. Further examination of this area should be made at tide level to observe the local outcrop geology and any the mineralization from the tailings dumped from the above open cut and shaft. Manganese pits (Location B)

A water filled manganese exploration pit or trench was located toward the barren fault during exploration on a recently cut path in a mature growth of planted pine and white spruce dating from the 1940's. The shallow attempt to excavate to the manganese was in the range of 30 to 60 cm deep and having surface dimensions of 2 x 4 m with a tallings berm 1 m wide and 15 to 20 cm deep as seen in the photo below. Sedimentary unit above the basalts, The Scrapes (Location C)

Generally these are red weathering to dark brown to black, in the area of the fault, directly above the copper mineralized area of Crows Gulch in the area known as The Scrapes, this unit is weathered to light gray in the direct area of the fault. In the photo below you can see the normal bedding having a deep red colour at the far right outcrop, this is followed by the alteration to gray and black to the left.

Sedimentary unit on north west of English Cove Road (Location D)

An unconformable contact between the high silica gray shale / siltstone of the Drook Formation of the Conception Group and the red sandstone, of the Brigus Formation of the Adeyton Group is seen in the photo below. Minor quartz / calcite veining and manganese oxide staining on fracture surfaces was observed in the red overlying rock in the photo, this was not observed in the underlying unit at this location. Further mapping of the sedimentary units should be done to determine the nature of the strike, faulting and offset bedding of the manganese layer in this location.

Sculpin Island Cove (licence18084m, Location E)

Vertical fractures in the outcrop had chalcocite / malachite mineralization similar to that found at the main English Ridge prospect several hundred meters north. Due to the excessive talus and 70 degree slope it was too dangerous to venture further along the bank to explore for more copper mineralization. Three quarter way to the ridge a small man made path had been blasted out of the cliff, this appears to be from exploration / mining in the period of the mid 1850's.

7. CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Given the continued findings of copper and manganese mineralization on these licences, there is a significant possibility that a deposit of economic size could be discovered on the property, further exploration is warranted.

The following are recommended for the property:

1.) Trenching is recommended in the following areas:• the faulted area adjacent to the crows gulch adit and open cut, toward the sedimentary unit. • Continuing northward on this fault in the sedimentary unit• Inland in the area of the historic manganese pits to bedrock

2.) Shallow drilling though the sedimentary unit to define the manganese bearing strata

3.) Examine the outcropping along the shoreline by boat

4.) Further mapping of the bedding plains of the manganese and copper bearing strata
