REGIONAL CHAMPIONS

The FJH We the People team traveled to downtown Indianapolis to compete in the Central Regional against twelve other middle schools on Friday, November 22. The students spent the previous weeks writing papers which answered three different questions focused on historical and contemporary constitutional topics. At the competition, they read the papers to a panel of judges and then answered a series of questions in which they were asked to evaluate, take, and defend positions on topics related to their papers. As a result of winning the regional competition, the team will move on to compete at the state competition on December 10.

SNACK ATTACK HELPS STUDENTS AT FJH Fishers Junior High is pleased to announce the return of the Snack Attack program for students in need. The program, supported by the Fishers Youth Assistance Program, is designed to help students in need with some extra snacks to get them through the weekend.

Participating students will pick up a small sack bag on Friday to be taken home over the weekend. The sack is filled with 5-10 individually wrapped snacks such as granola bars, fruit cups, pop tarts, peanut butter/crackers, Goldfish crackers, etc. The type of snacks will vary each week. Please let us know if your child has a peanut allergy as he/she will receive a special bag of peanut-free snacks.

There is no cost to you or the school. If you are interested in having your student participate in FYAP's Snack Attack, please contact Kim Broughton at [email protected].

Fishers Junior High welcomes your donations to the program. If you are so inclined, please drop off snack items at the front office or send in with your student. Thank you in advance!
