We’ve got the Spirit! Yes we do! We’ve got the Holy Spirit! How ‘bout you?

Of course you do! Our VBS Directors set the bench-mark for mastering the playbook, calling strategic time outs and being the best cheerleaders around! It’s time to get your VBS team together, grab the megaphones, lace up the cleats and tune up the in-struments as leaders get ready to invite kids to fill up the offensive lines, sidelines, and drumlines. The play-ers, cheerleaders, and band members will realize God has given them His ultimate playbook. He wants them to join His team, train hard, celebrate salvation and encourage one another.

We have an all-star lineup coaching staff to assist you in your VBS training and game day technique. Texas is booking teams to assist in the rebuild efforts. If you have a group that wants to be involved in this

continuing effort, go to www.texasbaptistmen.org. You can sign up directly through them. You do not have to be Disaster Relief certified to help with rebuilding efforts.

Dominica: The island of Dominica was slammed by hurricane Maria. A rebuild response will take place this year in an area called Le Plane and the surrounding villages. TBMB through Disaster Relief will be partnering with those going to serve in Dominica and Puerto Rico through grants for the first 100 volunteers. Those going to Puerto Rico, Tennessee DR will grant each volunteer $200 towards the cost of the trip. The grant for those going to Dominica will be $300 for those staying one week and $450 when staying for 2 weeks. This will be sent to the church or association sponsoring the trip.

Pray for Bryan & Whitney

Jackson

IMB Missionaries Serving in

Takasaki, Japan

Prayer Concerns:

1. Pray for our community and neighbors. We are often overwhelmed by the lostness and darkness here.

2. Pray that we would be obedient to how ever He would desire us to be light in our city of over 400,000.

3. Pray as we continue language learning and experi-encing culture. Without language we cannot yet share the Gospel which is our hearts cry and prayer.

4. Pray for the church plant at the clinic and for Bryan as he preaches and shepherds this group. Pray for us both as we meet new people and try to continue on without our supervisor and leadership. We are a bit overwhelmed at the task before us.

5. Pray for the Lord to show us ways to minister in our area.
