1.Clear definition of the term “flash flood” and connection to flood events caused by heavy rainfalls, and

2.Arrangement of informative meetings and general information prevention measures (e. g. flyer, documentations etc.) to prepare people for possible events.

Summary

• Questionnaire campaigns in 4 regional cities were arranged,

• results show many flash flood affected people and many people knowing affected persons,

• a main deficit in the term flash flood can be detected,

• there are no informative meetings and no information materials to inform the public about flash flood existence and effective prevention measures.
