Organised by students on Sept 28 th 2018 with a participation of about 400 students from 35 invited colleges in South India was inaugurated by Sri. E. Ramankutty Warrier, Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra, who exhorted students to brush shoulders with competition while enjoying the spirit of friendship. Dr. Rajagopala Nair, Dean, welcomed the gathering and Smt. Sujatha Nambiar, Principal, BMV offered felicitations. Under the co-ordination of Mr. Prasanth Prakash & Ms. Leah Paul, second year MBA students, Casa De Gestao (CDG-18') - The National Level Management Fest entire staff and students enthusiastically conducted four events and by the end of the day XIME, Kochi emerged as the winners of Overall Championship. The valedictory ceremony was inaugurated by Sri. Venugopal C. Govind, Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra who thrusted the significance of management fests in overall enrichment of a management aspirant by exploring his capabilities to sustain in a free market of competitive business models. The presence of the film crew of the movie 'Theevandi' added colours to the valedictory function. The event concluded with cultural programmes by students. A s part of Independence Day celebration, our students organised a flash mob at Oberon Mall to promote awareness on responsible independence. The high voltage act was enlivened by the mall visitors Flashmob who cheered the Bhavans gang. T he Installation Ceremony of Rotaract office bearers for 2018-19 was held in the campus. Presided over by Dr. Renju Jose, President - Rotary Kochi United, Mr. Prasanth Prakash was installed as the president of the Rotaract club- Bhavans Royal Institute of Management for 2018-19, who in turn installed the office bearers for the year. Rotaract Club Installation-2018 Prof. (Dr.) Rajagopala Nair, Dean, was keynote speaker on the topic "Marketing on Artificial Intelligence" at the 3 rd International Conference on Commerce and management in changing times (ICCMCT), organized by the Dept. of Commerce, Maharajas college, Ernakulam Mr. Girish S. Pathy, Asst. Professor, was the invited chair for the paper presentations organised in connection with the One-day seminar on, 'Research: Towards Innovative Pedagogy' at Bhavan's College of Arts & Commerce, Kakkanad. Prof. (Dr.) Rajagopala Nair, Dean, invited resource person for the workshop on 'Accounting treatment of GST' organised by the Kerala CBSE Teacher's Forum. Academic Outreach Programmes Smt. Jayashree R., Librarian, Bhavan's B- School, presented a paper on Digital Libraries at the workshop - 'From Archival to Virtual' organised by Vidyodaya School, Thevakkal.

The annual Hindu Business Line Corporate Quiz washeld at our campus on 15th September 2018. The

regional round with a turnout of more than 50participant teams, had representation from topcorporates, business executives as well as students

The Hindu Business Line Cerebration Quiz @ Bhavan's Royalfrom top B-Schools. Team Mikudu (A Kerala Based freeblood donation platform) emerged as the winners forthe national finals later at Mumbai. The organisers andparticipants appreciated Bhavans B-School for the warmhospitality as location partner of the prestigious event.

Amazing Gesture by Bhavanites for Kerala Flood Relief

As humanity unfolded over the devastating floods,each and every Keralite within or outside the state/

country contributed to the cause one way or the other.The staff and students Bhavan's Royal Institute ofManagement did their bit too...

1) The staff and students of Bhavan’s B-School inassociation with 'Anbodu Kochi', Rotaract Club ofCochin East and Rotary Kochi United, volunteeredfor the Ernakulam collector's call center. Thestudents displayed excellent maturity andcommitment in attending and analyzing calls and

associate with the cause as one amongst the mostunforgettable and invaluable experience in their life.

2) The student's committee decided to cancel the year'sOnam celebration and use the collected fund worthRs 15000/- to extend support to the inmates of

rescue camps by providing them with necessarymaterials.

3) All the staff members of Bhavan's B-Schoolcontributed a day's salary to flood relief aid.

Rotaractor's of Bhavan's Royal Institute ofManagement were honored at a grand event

organised by Rotary Kochi United for the activeparticipation in Flood rescue mission. Sri. MohammadHanish, IAS, MD of KMRL was the chief guest, and themeeting was presided by Dr. Renju Jose, President,Rotary Kochi United.

To promote the goodness of naturally grown foodsfor health and earth, the staff and students

celebrated the organic farm harvest in the campus.Prof. Dr. Rajagopala Nair, Dean, thanked the dedicatedgardeners and helping hand offered by other staff andstudents, for the good harvest of organic vegetables

Independence Day Celebration

The 72nd Independence Day of India was observedon 15th August 2018. The staff and students of

Bhavan's B-School united together to celebrate thishistorical day that marksthe country's freedomfrom the rule of British.Dr. Rajagopala Nair, ourDean, hoisted thenational flag in the midstof the gathering singingthe national anthem. Inhis message, the Deanremembered the valiantsouls who sacrificed forthe country and urgedstudents to uphold thesanctity of the freedom and follow the ideals of thegreat minds who strived for it.

Alumni Meet-2018

The Annual Alumni meet was organised on 12th

August '18 as old students from different batchesassembled at the campus and reminisced about theirstudent life in Bhavans. Mr. Vinod R. R., Asst.Professor and Secretary from the faculty welcomedthe gathering and presented the report of activitiesundertaken by the association. The election of thenew office bearers of the Alumni Association was

conducted by Mrs. Smitha Rajappan, Asst. Professor.The current students organized various culturalevents in the second session for entertaining thealumni and representatives from each batch sharedtheir experiences of student and professional life.After the meeting, members had lunch at the campus.The annual alumni meet ended with a zeal of meetingagain next year.
