FOREST FABRIC JUTE HANDBAG (11BS01)

Handbag made of “forest fabric”, an affectionate name introduced by the COOPFLORA community of Machadinho d’oeste, RO. The material is vegetal latex from rubber trees, applied on jute lining. The whole process is natural and biodegradable, and the extraction is done on sustainability principles.

Currently, this work is the only source of income of this group, who are descen-dants of forest indigenous people and who live in the forest area. The handbag’s lining is linen printed with plant pigments with handle and finishing made out of salmon skin.

Handbag made of “forest fabric”, an affectionate name introduced by the COOPFLORA community of Machadinho d’oeste, RO. The material is vegetal latex from rubber trees, applied on cotton layers. The whole process is natural and biodegradable, and the extraction is done on sustainability principles.

Currently, this work is the only source of income of this group, who are descen-dants of forest indigenous people and who live in the forest area. The handbag´s lining is linen printed with plant pigments.
