Such an improvement is a convenience which verges on being a necessity. Bui there is more room for Improvement on the River Field tract which if it WOtl carried out. would be of equal value.

At the extreme southern end of this field is a triangular plot of some sire. If properly laid out and improved some forty or more tennis courts could be built upon this space which, ss it sands now. is practically useless. And forty more tennis courts are sadly needed by the University.

The need ol recreational facilities here at Pennsyl. i- a commonly known fact. Right now there are only IS courts when there is a demand for at least fifty. H.-t a good chance to increase the number of tennis courts to a point where the desire of the students to play this game which is one of the best from a physical viewpoint, could ba satisfied.
