Flight Training by Airbus 010
Same Type Rating (STR - Familiarisation Training)Flying several aircraft models with a single license endorsement.
Reduced Type Rating (Cross Crew Qualification)Pilots can qualify from one Airbus fly-by-wire type to another through a Reduced Type Rating course instead of a full Type Rating course (Transition training).
Mixed Fleet Flying (MFF)Flying of different Airbus aircraft types by one pool of pilots.
of them also practice MFF worldwide
CCQ and MFF combinedcan save up to:
$1 millionper additional aircraft and per year due to a training cost reduction and increased productivity
Operators benefit from Type Rating (CCQ)
50+ BASIC PILOT TRAINING_
Common Type Rating (Difference Training)Airbus has been granted regulatory approval of a Common Type Rating (CTR) for the A330 and A350 XWB, based on handling similarities. A330 pilots are expected to qualify on the A350 XWB without Full Flight Simulator time. An FTD Level 2 is used instead during the proposed CTR difference training course. CCQ and MFF will also be available for the A350 XWB and A320 Family, A340 or A380.
Benefits
Greater scheduling flexibility with a pool of multi-qualified pilots
Significant savings thanks to reduced costs of training and reduced time off duty
Stronger motivation of pilots and better opportunities throughout their career path

Command course for first officers who wish to be upgraded to command levelIntegrating results from specific non-technical skills research, our Command course consists of a carefully analysed combination of 4 com-plementary modules.
• Our "Command Essentials" (decision-making, leadership, etc…)
• Self-study & interactive ground school modules
• FFS sessions to reinforce and check these fundamental skills
• LIFUS training to ensure the benefits of the preparation modules are understood, integrated and remain resilient.
Low Visibility Operations (LVO)
Extended-range Twin-engine Operation Performance Standards (ETOPS)
