Intended Audience The content of this document is designed to facilitate the users -managers, supervisors and others of Maintenance Mode & Coming Soon Page Extension for Magento 2. A step by step instruction has been added to this document to help users to install the extension on Magento 2. This extension will only work on Magento 2. As a safe practice always backup your files and database before installing any extension on Magento. If you are looking for someone to install the extension we can do it for you as well. User Guide
After installation of module, make sure the setup is upgraded and static-contents are deployed. Login
to admin panel and flush you Magento cache storage.
I. How to Configure the Extension:
At the backend, go to FME EXTENSIONS > CMP Configurations. Here you will have access to the
following configurations:
General Settings:
1. Enable Extension: Select Yes or No to enable or disable extension respectively. If extension is
disabled, one cannot view or change either mode from backend and will be redirected to store’s
main page.
2. IP White List: IP’s which are entered in this area are allowed to bypass both coming soon and
maintenance pages, and can view any page.

II. How to Manage Custom Maintenance Page – Modes:
At the backend go to FME EXTENSIONS > CMP Manage, here you will find the following.
Website Modes After adding website modes description here, add following content about how to change the website mode and the behavior of extension on different modes.
How to Change Website Mode
Hover over website mode and press Enable to select it, then press Save and Continue Edit button in order to save the selected mode.
Response of Extension on Different Website Mode
When the extension is enabled, all the three modes can be previewed from backend, regardless of the current selected mode.
1. Live Site Mode: When Live Site is selected, all the users will be redirected to store’s
main page.
2. Coming Soon Mode: When Coming Soon mode is enabled, all the users will be
redirected to coming soon page except allowed pages.
3. Maintenance Mode: When Maintenance mode is enabled, all the users will be
redirected to maintenance page.

Coming Soon Page General Settings With the help of these settings one can configure front end of coming soon page:
Signup Form
Enable Signup Form: If selected, a signup form will be displayed on coming soon page
so new users can sign up for newsletter or register themselves as a customer before
store’s launching.
Signup Method: Two methods are available for user signup i.e. Signup for newsletter
only and Signup for newsletter and register as a customer. In the second case, a user
can become a customer in addition to just a subscriber.
Launch Settings
Launch Date and Time: This date will be the launching date for the store and as well as
used for the countdown timer.
Launch Date Action: Two things can happen when the store is launched, either the
coming soon page displays a countdown timer equals to zero or the coming soon page
can automatically be redirected to the store’s home page. Either option can be selected
from dropdown.
Show Launch Countdown Timer: If selected a countdown timer will be displayed on
coming soon page.

Text and Labels
Heading Text: Heading text for coming soon page.
Welcome Text: Welcome or description text for coming soon page.
Site Restriction
Allow Access to Site Pages: If selected, accessible pages of store are displayed on the
bottom of coming soon page.
Accessible Pages: Pages which can be selected as accessible pages.

Social
Display Recent Tweets: Display recent tweets on coming soon page or not.
Twitter Widget Code: Insert twitter widget code for your account here, so recent
tweets can be displayed on coming soon page.
Show Share Buttons: If selected, social share buttons are displayed on coming soon
page.
Show Social Links: If selected, social links are displayed on the bottom on coming soon
page.
Textboxes for Inserting Social Links: different textboxes are available to insert social
links, which are used for the above social buttons.

Meta Data
Meta Description: Meta description for SEO.
Meta Keywords: Meta keywords for SEO.

Background Settings: Three different backgrounds are available for coming soon page i.e. Fixed
Image, Image Slider and Video background.
Maintenance Page General Settings
Configurations
Launch Date and Time: This date will be the launching date for the store and as well as
used for the countdown timer.

maintenance page displays a countdown timer equals to zero or the maintenance page
can automatically be redirected to the store’s home page when timer hits zero. Either
option can be selected from dropdown.
Show Launch Countdown Timer: If selected a countdown timer will be displayed on
maintenance page.
Auto Refresh Page Every Minute: Give minute(s) and the maintenance page will be
refresh automatically after that minute(s) and send a response header to the search
engine.
Http Response Header: Select the response header to notify search engine that your
site in temporary unavailable.

Coming soon and Maintenance Page Media Settings This media is used for coming soon and maintenance page background settings, both images and videos can be uploaded for coming soon and maintenance page background.
How to Add New Media: Click Add Media button and then enter, select or upload appropriate
detail for adding media successfully.
Title: Enter title for media i.e. image or video.
Media Type: Select appropriate media type for the media i.e. image or video.
Media Mode: Select appropriate media mode for the media i.e. coming soon or
maintenance. By selecting media mode you are assigning the media to either coming
soon or maintenance page.
Upload Video: Two options are available to upload video i.e. file upload from PC and
upload through a valid URL – YouTube or Vimeo. For uploading video from local
computer browser the file and press open, for uploading through URL, first select URL
option from dropdown and then enter URL for the video from YouTube or Vimeo.
When Video is uploaded through URL the other fields i.e. Title and Upload Image are
selected automatically from the uploaded video.
Upload Image: If media type is Image then, you can upload an image from your local
computer by browsing the image and pressing open button.
Exclude: If selected, the media will be excluded to display on frontend of coming soon
and maintenance page.

How to Save Media: When media is uploaded successfully then Save and Continue Button must
be pressed in order to save the media into the database.
Some Conditions for Media Settings
Case 1: Upload Image field is being used for two purposes depending on media type. If
media type Image is selected then this field is used for uploading image media. On the
other side, if media type Video is selected this field is being used as a video thumb and
not as an image media.
Case 2: If media type Video is selected and video is not uploaded then this media is
invalid and can’t be saved for either mode.
Case 3: If media type Video is selected and video is uploaded through local computer as
a file, then thumb for this video must be uploaded through upload image.
Case 4: If nothing is uploaded in media settings and coming soon and maintenance
page background settings are set then background of coming soon or maintenance
page will be displayed blank.
Case 5: Latest Image or Video, which belongs to coming soon and maintenance page
will be used as a background.
