EVENING WITH

DOC GIZMO

Celebrating our accomplishments It has been a great year of learning and making friendships. We want to wish our graduates the best as

they move on in their education. The graduates gave some good advice to our freshman such as: be sure

to use the IMPACT resources, go to class, and develop good study habits. The classes can get harder de-

pending on your major. The food catered by Great Western Dining was delicious! There were 76 people

in attendance. It was the best attended dinner and event that we have ever had to date.

The community was invited to attend Doc Gizmo’s Science Theatre, which was thoroughly enjoyable for all

ages. He gave several demonstrations which included the use of liquid nitrogen, fire vortex, Newton’s Law

of Momentum, orbiting key, lasers, singing pipes, egg in a bottle, think tube, whoosh bottle, boiling water

with ice, and a parrot named Fertile Mertle. At the end of the show, a drawing was held for Newton’s

Beads. Here is the list of all 10 winners: Josh Crenshaw, Maria Schmidt, Bryan Jasmin, Melissa Marshall,

Adonis Bailey, Ray McGrew, Donnell Richards, Eileen Gove, Cameron Moore, Fred Taylor, Earriel Willis, and

Maurice Williams. Congratulations!

Congradulations Cowley Graduates of 2011! We are looking

forward to celebrating with those of you who are planning to

walk across the stage on May 5, as well as those who chose not

to walk, to receive a well-deserved diploma. We hope that

this is the beginning of a successful future. Keep the following

quotes in mind as you continue your journey.

Be an original, not a copy.

Find a friend in everyone.

Be enthusiastic!

Find balance, it does exist.

Data is cheap, wisdom is priceless.

Inspiration is in.

Make time to relax, you deserve it.

Map your way, or someone else will.

Communicate clearly, clear is rare.

Hard work = #1 success habit.
