Our C Platoon Delivered a Baby! During the I-15 freeway closure last month, our Paramedics and Firefighters were on I-15 when they received a call of an imminent delivery taking place on the freeway. Our paramedics responded to the call within a few minutes and Paramedic Josh Brown delivered a healthy baby in the back of ambulance 61. Mother and baby were then transported to the hospital. This quick response and safe delivery was a team effort by our entire crew. Great job C platoon!

Utility Billing Changeover

Effective October 31, 2016 the City of South Jordan started a new utility billing system and online payment portal. Here are the things you need to know:

Changes to Preauthorized Payments

IF ENROLLED IN PREAUTHORIZED PAYMENTS, PLEASE READ!

Beginning October 31, 2016 the City will be implementing our new Citizen Self Service website and will make the following changes to the City’s Preauthorized Payment (PAP) program:

1. The City will no longer be able process Preauthorized Payments (PAPs) using a credit card. All users signed up for credit card Preauthorized Payments will be removed on October 31st. Residents may still sign up for Preauthorized Payment using a checking or savings account.

2. The City will only process Preauthorized Payments (PAPs) on the bills due date (currently the 20th of the month), if the due date falls on a weekend or holiday, the Preauthorized Payment will be processed the following business day.

3. The City will no longer be able to limit the payment amount or offer multiple payment types per Preauthorized Payment.

4. New enrollments may take one bill cycle before taking effect.

New Account Number (Account ID) and CID (Customer ID)

As part of the City’s utility billing changeover, new Account and CID numbers were created. You will need both numbers to make online payments or view online statements using the City’s new Citizen Self Service website.

Account ID – Unique 6 digit number for your property’s utilities account. This number stays the same regardless of property owner.

CID – This is a unique number assigned to an owner of the property.

These new numbers will appear on your November utility bill. If you receive your November bill and still cannot locate your Account ID and/or CID, please contact the City at (801)446-HELP or informationcenter@sjc.utah.gov. For email inquiries, please allow 1-3 business days for a response.
