The Food and Agribusiness Growth Centre’s vision is: By 2025 the industry is working together to grow the share of Australian food in the global marketplace.

Overview

The Food and Agribusiness Growth Centre, known as Food Innovation Australia Limited (FIAL), is part of the $250 million Industry Growth Centres Initiative.

A Growth Centre is an independent not-for-profit company that works with its sector to drive cultural change and build capability for success. Each Growth Centre has an industry-led Board, recognising that industry is best placed to overcome challenges to innovation, productivity and growth.

Growth Centres are enabling innovation in new and existing businesses, increasing levels of collaboration, smoothing the path to access international markets and global supply chains. They are enhancing management and workforce skills and optimising the regulatory environment. This will foster growth in Australia’s smart, high value and export focused industries. The Food and Agribusiness Growth Centre has developed a sector strategy, including its Industry Knowledge Priorities, and Regulatory Reform Agenda, with activities underway to put these into action.

The Food and Agribusiness Growth Centre is led by Mr Peter Schutz and a small board of respected industry leaders.

Driving innovation, productivity and global competiveness The Food and Agribusiness Growth Centre will drive the following outcomes:
