However there is a great difference in the quantity of food consumed by people around the world

Changing food preferences is LDCs and DCs People living in developed countries

usually consume more food as they could afford it. The opposite is usually true for people living in less developed countries

People living in DCs usually consume more non-staple food (meat ,fish) in more quantities, instead of staple food.
