Hobart won the first showdown way back in 1896 by a score of 6-4. Over the past 10 seasons, the Statesmen hold a slim 6-4 edge, including last year’s 30-20 triumph in Schenectady. POInT-COunTERPOInT—The all-me se- ries score stands at 1,620-1,244 in favor of the Dutchmen. In fact, no team has scored more points against Hobart than Union. The Statesmen have scored more points against St. Lawrence (1,378), Rochester (1,363), and Alfred (1,285). aBOuT LaST wEEk—Hobart relied heavily on its defense to defeat Liberty League rival St. Lawrence 16-10. Senior linebacker JuS- TIN HAGER registered a game-high 13 tack- les, while senior tackle Ryan aRuCk add- ed 12 stops. First-year cornerback DRAKE WOODARD came away with two of the Statesmen’s three intercepons. The offense overcame a 7-3 halſtime deficit with 13 un- answered third quarter points to secure the victory. Sophomore running back ANDREW MARLIER averaged a game-high 5.8 yards per carry and scored on a 20-yard run to lead the offense. THE STREak—Including last Saturday’s triumph, Hobart has won 17 consecuve games against St. Lawrence, the longest ac- ve winning streak by the Statesmen over a single opponent.
