FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE For more information contact: Amanda Hayes,PR Chair River Eves PTA THEY “PARTIED LIKE ROCK STARS” 3rd Annual River Eves Education Foundation Bash Draws Community Together March 11, 2013, Roswell, GA: The River Eves Education Foundation (REEF) spring fundraiser, “Party Like a Rock Star” sold out on Saturday, March 16, 2013, drawing 175 to the premier Horseshoe Bend Country Club in Roswell, Georgia and raising over $46,000. All proceeds from the event will benefit technology investments at River Eves Elementary School in Roswell, including the hire of a part-time Technology Coach to support the integration of technology into the curriculum and enhance the overall academic experience, the purchase of several interactive projectors, and other technology initiatives. Guests at “the Bash” enjoyed a night of networking, socializing, and dancing to live entertainment provided by That 80’s Band and opening act, Along for the Ride. The silent auction drew over 140 donations from more than 70 local businesses. “We are extremely grateful for the generosity of the community in helping us to improve our school,” said Principal Neil Pinnock. “It really demonstrates the commitment and cooperative spirit of local businesses and community members—in addition to our many active parents and our teachers.” “The success of this event exceeded our expectations!” said Jennifer Walley, REEF President. “It was a great evening—the costumes were a blast, the bands were excellent and everyone had a great time. Most of all, we are thrilled about the impact the Foundation continues to make at River Eves.” Businesses and families who would like to contribute to the River Eves Education Foundation can do so at http://www.riverevesfoundation.org/
