Welcome! To better serve our newcomers, we ask that guests please fill out a Visitor Card* located in the pews in the sanctuary and at the Connection Center in Schumann Hall. Cards may be placed in the offering trays or given to an usher or minister.
New Member ClassesFind out what we stand for, why we do things the way we do, and meet the ministers. Anyone interested in becoming a member of First Protestant Church should contact Mae Kraft, Volunteer Coordinator, at (830) 609-7729 X 52.
God Answers Prayer If you or someone you know needs prayer**, please fill out a Prayer Request Card* located in the pews in the sanctuary and at the Connection Center in Schumann Hall.

Parking Information
As a courtesy, we reserve the curbside parking on Coll St by the sanctuary and the drive-thru parking area by the school for the elderly, handicapped, or those who require assistance. There is always an Ambassador there to greet and offer assistance. Also, we prohibit parking on the curbside by the Seele Parish Hall for the safety of the children going in and out.
Media Outreach All posters, flyers, or literature posted on the bulletin boards, Connection Centers, or distributed on church grounds must be approved by the church office. All requests for approval must be made by noon on Tuesdays to be posted by church staff on Fridays. Entries for the Sunday bulletin must also be submitted by noon on Tuesday for the upcoming Sunday.
Nursery We offer a staffed nursery for age birth through 3 years old in the First Protestant School area during the 10:30 Sunday morning service. Please see an usher for assistance.
Closed Doors, Open Arms It is necessary to keep doors in all FPC buildings closed so that our AC/Heating systems will work properly. Please don’t let these closed doors make you think you are not welcome! Everyone is welcome to stay comfortable at FPC!
*All info on Prayer & Visitor cards is kept confidential.
**There is no longer a local switchboard at Christus Santa Rosa-NB. All the calls are routed through San Antonio. Therefore, it is IMPERATIVE that family, friends and loved ones call FPC church office or notify the pastors of any hospitalizations.

The first series of "DARYL UNLEASHED" will be entitled: "What the Church Can Learn from Harley-Davidson." It will be a two-part series, beginning on Wednesday, October 4th and concluding on Wednesday, October 11th. The presentation will be held in the sanctuary at 7 p.m. on both dates.

Harvey caused us to rearrange our “back to school” schedule, but we still met many new students. Last Saturday, we had a welcome party at our home with students from 10 different countries--Iran, Taiwan, China, France, Portugal, Turkey, South Korea, India, Peru, England!
We will begin one-on-one evangelism and Bible studies this week, so please pray for students to come and for students to be converted. Also, due to financial constraints, We’ve lost the support of several churches who were large financial partners. I could really use prayers for more

First Protestant Church is the founding church of our Evangelical Association. Next year's Annual Convocation will be held at FPC, September 21-23rd, 2018.

21 Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone[a] who sins against me? Seven times?”
22 “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven![b]
23 “Therefore, the Kingdom of Heaven can be compared to a king who decided to bring his accounts up to date with servants who had borrowed money from him. 24 In the process, one of his debtors was brought in who owed him millions of dollars.[c] 25 He couldn’t pay, so his master ordered that he be sold—along with his wife, his children, and everything he owned—to pay the debt.
26 “But the man fell down before his master and begged him, ‘Please, be patient with me, and I will pay it all.’ 27 Then his master was filled with pity for him, and he released him and forgave his debt.
28 “But when the man left the king, he went to a fellow servant who owed him a few thousand dollars.[d] He grabbed him by the throat and demanded instant payment.
29 “His fellow servant fell down before him and begged for a little more time. ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay it,’ he pleaded. 30 But his creditor wouldn’t wait. He had the man arrested and put in prison until the debt could be paid in full.
31 “When some of the other servants saw this, they were very upset. They went to the king and told him everything that had happened. 32 Then the king called in the man he had forgiven and said, ‘You evil servant! I forgave you that tremendous debt because you pleaded with me. 33 Shouldn’t you have mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had mercy on you?’ 34 Then the angry king sent the man to prison to be tortured until he had paid his entire debt.
35 “That’s what my heavenly Father will do to you if you refuse to forgive your brothers and sisters[e] from your heart.”
