Council Scout Jamboree. This professional monster truck seen on the

national tour will be appearing at the Scout Jamboree in Hebron June 5th.

The EMS/Connecticut Rivers Council Jamboree will be held on June 4/5/6, 2010. The Council Jamboree is be-

ing organized by the Connecticut Rivers Council and sponsored by Eastern Mountain Sports, outdoor outfitters.

Jamboree organizers can be contacted through the Connecticut Rivers Council Web site ctrivers.org, or at the

Council office located at 60 Darlin Street, PO Box 280098, East Hartford, CT 06128. Those interest in sponsor-

ships or event displays should contact the Connecticut Rivers Council by phone at 860 913 2751. This publica-

tion has been produced to promote the Council Jamboree. It is intended to be informational for those attending.

Spread the word to your Scouts

Leaders Meeting April 25, 2010 Sunday April 25, 2010 — 1 PM at the Hebron Fair Grounds a Leaders meeting for this years Council Jam-

boree will be held. Sub camp officials will be on hand to bring leaders around to see their camp sites. At

this meeting new traffic patterns and parking will be explained. Important information about the facilities

will be given to all leaders. This is a good opportunity to for a leader to get answers to specific question and

to see the camping areas.

This Jamboree celebrates the 100th anniversary of Scouting in the United States. The show should prove

to be exciting, fun and educational. It is not often that our leaders and our Scouts have the chance to par-

ticipate in anything this big. We have site reservations for scouts from other councils and states. Give all

the Scouts in your unit the opportunity to take part in this major Scouting Event.

If you have never taken part in geo-caching, the 2010 EMS CRC

Scout Jamboree will give you an opportunity. You can learn all about

this exciting hobby and take part in a cache arranged just for the Jam-

boree. There is also an opportunity to take part in caching around the

council, with caches at East Hartford and Bozrah location. Look for

the Geo Cache booth and game at the 2010 Eastern Mountain/

Connecticut Rivers Scout Jamboree.

The Saturday night show at the Eastern Mountain Sports/Connecticut

Rivers Council Scout Jamboree will feature Kristy Lee Cook. Ms.

Cook was a finalist on American Idol. Her career has taken off, she

has two albums on the market with a third to be released this spring,

scheduled just before our Jamboree. Kristy Lee will be returning

from an Australian tour in time for the EMS/CRC Scout Jamboree in

June. While her musical talents have blossomed into success she is

branching out. Currently she is taping a program for the Outdoor

channel called Top Ten.

That is because she never went to the EMS/CRC Scout Jamboree

The EMS/CRC Scout Jamboree trading post will

be stocked with items to remember the Jamboree

with. Currently some items are offered on-line

at ctrivers.org for preorder and pickup at the

Jamboree. Some items will be offered at the

Jamboree only.
