The stunning and colorful Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) illuminates the evening sky with beacons of light emanating from pyramid-shaped rooftops. The Grand Lobby features a sweeping spiral staircase that leads to elevated galleries. The auditorium seats move on floating air casters that can be configured into four different seating arrangements — Arena, Concert, Lyric, and Recital. For each layout, movable acoustic ceiling panels ensure optimal sound quality. Every performance setting provides a unique entertainment experience.

The City of Cerritos is in the heart of the Los Angeles and Orange County metropolitan areas. The CCPA is situated in the Cerritos Towne Center, a bustling development of office, hotel, retail, and entertainment facilities. The CCPA is located directly off the 91 Freeway, 30 minutes southeast of downtown Los Angeles, 20 minutes east of downtown Long Beach, and 15 minutes west of Anaheim. Parking, directly adjacent to the venue, is always free.

During a time of war, it was the music that united a nation. This jazzy, spirited tribute to the 1940s Swing era features singers, dancers, a Big Band orchestra, and tunes from icons of the time, including Artie Shaw, Duke Ellington, Tommy Dorsey, and Benny Goodman. Much more than a concert, it’s an authentic and inspiring celebration of American history and culture.

CCPA ENDOWMENT FUND

Since its opening in 1993, the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) has been recognized as a landmark cultural destination for the Southern California region.

The visionary leadership displayed by the Cerritos City Council in developing this magnificent theater was matched by its unwavering commitment to guarantee adequate ongoing financial support for the venue’s operation. To accomplish this goal, the Cerritos City Council founded the CCPA Endowment Fund in 1994. In establishing the Endowment Fund, the Cerritos City Council made an unequivocal pledge to future generations of Southern Californians by dedicating funds to ensure that the CCPA remains a welcoming, accessible, and affordable venue where patrons can experience the joy of entertainment and cultural enrichment.

The Cerritos City Council invites you to become a CCPA Associate and help secure a place in Southern California for the broad-based arts and entertainment programming that is the CCPA’s hallmark.

CCPA Associates receive benefits commensurate with their level of support. These benefits range from a subscription to the CCPA’s Premier News publication to advance ticket-purchase privileges and preferred parking. Contributions to the CCPA Endowment Fund are tax deductible.

The Cerritos City Council thanks you for taking the time to consider making a commitment to the future of Southern California arts and entertainment. To become a CCPA Associate, fill out the Ticket Order form enclosed with this Season Brochure.
