TRANSCRIPT
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” -John 3:3
As Lent draws us with Jesus to the Cross, Easter brings us to the celebration of New Life in Him. Nicodemus wanted to know more about Jesus. Jesus simply told him that he must be born again. Not understanding, Jesus explains that we must be born of water and the Spirit. Being made into disciples, being made “new” is the work of Holy Baptism.
Jesus commands us to go and make disciples by baptizing. Paul reminds us that when we are bap-tized, we are connected directly into the death and resurrection of Jesus and given the inheritance of eternal life. Peter reminds us that when we are baptized, the Holy Spirit enters our life and we receive the forgiveness of our sins. Luther reminds us that whenever we have the forgiveness of our sins we also have, at the same time, eternal life and salvation.
The Resurrection of our Lord is so very important that we should celebrate it with all that we are and have. Let us proclaim our faith publicly. Let us rejoice that Jesus has paid in full the penalty for our sin. His victory over sin, death and the devil is our victory by faith. Our Lord Jesus is seated on the right hand of God the Father and reigns over us and all things. He is interceding for us and knows our every need. By faith we trust in Him and believe that all things are in His hands. Because of Jesus, and Jesus alone, we are a New Creation – the old is gone and we are born again.
Celebrate the Resurrection with us this year by inviting a friend, co-worker or family member to join our celebration. Jesus is a difference maker because He makes all things new. In Christ,
And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” -Revelation 21:5
For with You is the fountain of life; in Your Light we see light. Psalm 36:9

Proverbs 3:5-6 “TrusT in The Lord wiTh aLL your hearT and Lean noT
on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths

Greetings in the name of our Lord!
It has been four weeks since Trinity had our Dinner & Dance Fundraiser! What an excit-ing night the Lord blessed us with! Even though we began with a visit from the local fire department, the show went on!
It was such a fun atmosphere to be part of! God continues to bless Trinity with a won-derfully supportive congregation and amaz-ing school families! The committee that was charge of the dinner/dance did a fantastic job, and everything looked great!
Now, what everyone has been waiting for...Trinity raised $24,855.50! WOW!!! What tremendous support we have for our church and school! That money will help equip our school for the future, perhaps buying new furniture, new computers, new learning tools, or gym equipment and more!
Thanks to all who donated, volunteered, or supported!
In His Service,
Mr. DeWitt

Thanks to everyone who is staying after the morning Lenten services and those who are enjoying our Lenten Soup and Sandwich lunches during the six weeks during Lent. We are averaging twenty men and women eve-ry Wednesday and enjoying delicious soup, grilled cheese, dessert and coffee. More importantly, we have great fellowship and are building new relationships! Thank you to all that volunteered your cooking and baking talents with us!

Pick up time is 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. There are a wide variety of plants available once again for you to purchase. Plants are pre-ordered so you must place an order by April 16. We only have a small amount of plants leftover for purchase the day of the sale. This is one of three fundraisers the youth has each year to help pay for their trips. These trips include the National Youth Gathering, Winter Retreat Weekend and the Mission Trips. If you have any questions regarding the sale, see Rob Grady. If you would like an order form e-mailed to you, we can do that too!
Vacation Bible School is around the corner and will take place on June 10-14. We meet every day that week from 8:30 a.m.-12:00 noon. The theme is “ROAR”, Life is Wild ~ God is Good. Many of our youth help during this week. If youth are willing to serve, they need to sign up with Mr. Grady. We always appreciate the youth taking time from their busy summer to serve at Trinity! Parents are also invited to help during this week. We can use help any day you can offer! We thank God for our Youth and adults who donate their time during this week of service. We have been averaging 125 children from our community over the past several years! What a wonderful outreach!!
Commitment forms for the Junior and High School Youth who will be attending the Mission Trips are availa-ble online. If you have questions, see Mr. Grady. Information was discussed at the at the Parent’s Meeting in March. If you were not there and plan to go on the trip…SEE MR. GRADY today! Easter Greetings from Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid
The Ladies Aid of Trinity Lutheran Church of Burr Ridge had a very productive meeting in March. Recent do-
nations were allocated to San Pablo in Aurora, Trinity Lutheran School Dinner Auction, St. Matthew Bed Shel-
ter and the Soup Kitchen. In addition, we are donating $2500 to Trinity Church Elevator Fund.
We served 47 people at the Ash Wednesday Lenten Supper and catered at least 4 funerals since the first of the
year. Thank you to all who donated dishes. We are one of the last churches in our area to continue offering
this gesture and need the additional support of our church members. Special thanks to several ladies who
asked to be placed on the call list to date.
We signed Easter cards to be sent to our home bound members. A Walgreens gift card will be enclosed. This
has been an annual tradition and one of the several service acts as part of our mission statement. While we are
recognized as a service group, we want to extend the invitation to all the ladies of Trinity of join us at one of
our monthly meetings and experience the fellowship and brainstorming along with some delicious treats. We
welcome some new and exciting input and feedback.
The Ladies Aid Rummage Sale will be October 25th & 26
th. The Holiday Market is in November. Date is to be
announced. Watch the weekly announcement for details.
Our next meeting is Monday, April 8th at 6:30PM. Prior to the meeting, at 6:00PM, there will be a jewelry
sale from “Paparazzi” arranged by Sue Voelz. See Sue for more details. Please join us. We extend a warm wel-
come to women of all ages to “Come serve the Lord with gladness!”
Have a blessed Easter!

Matthew 25:35
Who Cares?
Have you ever felt out of place, rejected or treated as if you don’t belong? It is an uncomfortable feeling, caus-
ing us to literally or figuratively back out of a room. Jesus repeatedly challenged discriminatory practices, wel-
coming children to himself, engaging with tax collectors, the disabled and others scorned by society ~ the last,
the lost and the least ~ sinners ~ us! Jesus’ loving care is for all! How can we do less? Be less? Who needs to
receive Christ’s care through you? Let us follow Jesus, serving and caring for others without bias or preju-
dice. Let us be his instruments in establishing a new world. It’s possible! We can do all things in Christ!
Savior Jesus, open my eyes, ears and heart to the needs of others. Guide me to do what I can to provide for
their needs, according to your will. Send Your Spirit to sow Your Word into hearts, that a harvest of faith may
be reaped among the nations, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
