SCHEDULE FOR PROCESSING OF PROPOSALSFOR ESTABLISHMENT OF NEW TECHNICAL INSTITUTIONS

1. The Directorate of Technical Education, Rajasthan, Jodhpur invites proposal for establishment of new technical institutions for the academic year 2007-08 for the following COUSES:

DIPLOMA COURSES: ENGINEERING ARCHITECTURE PARAMEDICAL TECHNOLOGY HOTEL MANAGEMENT AND CATERING TECHNOLOGY PHARMACY APPLIED ARTS & CRAFTS

2. Applicants (Societies / Trusts) may obtain APPLICATION FORM from Directorate of Technical Education, Rajasthan, Jodhpur on payment of Rs. 5000/- (Non-refundable) for each course through a D.D. in favour of the Director, Technical Education, Rajasthan, Jodhpur payable at Jodhpur.

3. All registered Trust / Society can submit proposal under following conditions:

i) Applications from the Society/Trusts, which are registered on or before the last date of submission will be considered.

ii) Land in the name of Applicant Society/Trust should be registered on or before last date of submission.

iii) There will be no provision for any Institution to start in a temporary accommodation.

iv) Applicant should fulfill all the requirements of the Directorate of Technical Education, Rajasthan, Jodhpur including infrastructure in the form of building (Approximately 75% of AICTE norms to be completed on or before Expert Committee visit on proposed permanent site.

4. Four copies of the proposals are required to be submitted to the following:(i) Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Rajasthan, W-

6, Residency Road, Jodhpur in three copies.(ii) Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan / Concerned

University for D. Pharma course in one copy.

SECTION - II

INSTRUCTION FOR SUBMISSIONS OF PROPOSALSFOR ESTABLISHMENT OF NEW TECHNICAL INSTITUTIONS

1. a) Proposals for each COURSE of institutions as specified in Section I, Item 1, should be submitted on separate APPLICATION FORMS.

b) The Complete Proposal on the prescribed APPLICATION FORM (in original) should be submitted to the Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Rajasthan, W-6, Residency Road, Jodhpur through proper channel as mentioned below:

Registered Society or Trust should submit their application through the Secretary.

2. Application should include all pertinent documents supporting the information provided and claims made therein as per checklist.

3. The Applicant, through certified documents, should indicate specifically the location of the proposed site for setting up of New Institution.

4. Applicants should clearly indicate the educational activities or institutions (if any) being run by the applicant.

5. The Applicant should submit proof of the land earmarked for establishing the new institute, as per norms given at Annexure-I

6. The Trust / Society should provide proof of availability of funds for construction of building for first year of the proposed programme, the required fixed deposit and operational fund as per Annexure-I for starting the proposed institution. Application for loan to individuals or Promissory Notes shall not be accepted as proof of possession of funds.

11. All Applicants whose proposals are complete in all respects and received on or before the deadline shall be given an opportunity to present their cases along with all original documents before the Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Rajasthan, W-6, Residency Road, Jodhpur as per the Calendar of activities.

12. In case an Applicant applies for more than one institution, separate resources (land, funds, building, etc.) for each proposal are required exclusively.

13. Any enquiry or correspondence regarding status of the proposal(s) during its processing shall not be entertained or replied.

14. Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Rajasthan, W-6, Residency Road, Jodhpur shall collect the Inspection fee Rs. 25000/- for self financing institution (Non - refundable) from the applicant institution & conduct inspection as per the Calendar of activities.

15. The Joint Fixed Deposit as per mentioned in the annexure for self financing institution shall be made in the Joint name of the Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Rajasthan, Jodhpur and the Society / Trust. The original Fixed Deposit Receipt shall be kept in the custody of the Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Rajasthan, W-6, Residency Road, Jodhpur, which shall be returned after 10 years for encashment by the institution.

16. Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Rajasthan, W-6, Residency Road, Jodhpur shall co-ordinate the visits of the Expert Committee to the institutions.

17. The Expert Committee report shall be placed before the State Level Committee which shall deliberate on each application and forward the recommendation to the Regional Officer, AICTE, Chandigarh and AICTE, New Delhi.

18. Based on the recommendations of the State Level Committee the Regional Officer, AICTE, Chandigarh shall issue the final letter of approval.
