At Curzon Hall, Sydney’s Elegant Function Centre, School Formals and Graduation Dinners are our area of expertise and we take pride in making this special evening a night to remember for you and your fellow students.

Our friendly event coordinators have years of experience and can provide ideas and assistance with room theming, staging and decorations. Our attention to detail is paramount.

HISTORICAL ACCOUNT

A wealth of history surrounds Curzon Hall. Built in 1900, its elegantly appointed existence is owed to Harry Smith & Isabella Curzon Webb. Thereafter, the castle was taken by the order of the Vincentian Fathers whom used Curzon Hall as a seminary for the Catholic Church. The addition of a chapel, which is still in existence, was built.

EDIFICE

The castle features 9 event rooms including the latest charming ballroom; Lady Mary’s Pavilion & the recent updated Banquet Room. Seating capacity is from 30-450 guests. Some of the facets of Curzon Hall include ornate periodic details, elegantly lighting, plush carpet, wrap-around balconies, surrounding landscapes & water features and more.

AgINCOURT ROOM

Located on the first floor of the castle boasts a magnificent room featuring elaborate detail, with crystal chandeliers, parquetry dance floor, natural filtered light, bar, large arched windows, antique fire places and an opening onto a front portico balcony, with gorgeous wrap around terraces overlooking gardens.

BANqUET ROOM

Formerly the chapel and renowned for its picturesque setting, this grand pillarless ballroom with 8 metre high ornate ceilings and natural filtered light. A romantic and majestic room. The Banquet Room also welcomes its newest refurbishment with plush carpet, chandeliers & appointed lounging area.

CELLARS

Embrace the ambience on the lower ground of sandstone walls, polished floors with its original character, wall to wall wine displays, inviting dance floor, five metre buffet table, dimmed mood lighting, lounge seating with stylish bar room for your guests to enjoy.

CURzON ROOM

This elegantly appointed room is suitable for intimate style events catering for up to 60 seated for dinner. This delightful room features ornate chandelier plush black velvet ottomans and distinctive furniture with a grand ornate mirror. It leads out into a covered terrace overlooking the spectacular gardens and reflection pool.

Security is charged at a flat fee of $320 per guard, minimum of 6 hours to ensure student safety during and after the event. PARENTS WELCOME PACKAGEParents are most welcome to attend.

This is a lovely opportunity for parents to enjoy and share the special memories with the students.

After 45 minutes, students that stay for the school formal will be seated in their event room for their sit down dinner.

45 minutE PACkAGE PRiCE $12.00 per person Sparkling Maison, Chilled Orange Juice and •assorted softdrinks with chocolate truffles and whole strawberries.

Optional ugrade: • themed mini iced cupcakes at $2.00 per person

Upon conclusion of 45 min attendance, parents not •staying for seated dinner are required to leave the event & premises.

Curzon Hall abides by the Responsible Services of Alcohol Act.

ARRiVAl timESAllocated time slots are based upon bookings received as no two schools may arrive at the same time to compliment exclusive arrival times.

muSiCyour events coordinator will happily organise any style of music to suit your formal from funky bands (price on application) to having Curzon Hall’s Resident DJ – additional $595 inclusive of strobe lighting and other lighting effects.

SCHOOl FORmAl SECuRitYCurzon Hall requires security for all school formal functions. This is compulsory and can only be organised by Curzon Hall. Security is charged at a flat fee of $320 per guard, minimum of 6 hours to ensure student safety during and after the event. Ratio of guards is 2:100 students.

PHOtOGRAPHYCurzon Hall will organise photography to setup to capture your special moments. These photos can then be purchased online by students, at their own cost.

SCHOOl FORmAl BOOkinG COnDitiOnSAll bookings are to be made by a parent or teacher only. Bookings by students will not be accepted without parental consent. A $3000 booking fee is required to confirm your event.

All additional inclusions are to be approved by the teacher or guardian responsible.

BOnDCurzon Hall must receive a $3000 bond to hold the date of your event. This bond will be returned within 14 days after the event, following an appraisal by management on the condition of the function room, restrooms and balconies used by your students on the evening.

FinAl PAYmEntFull payment excluding Bond is required strictly 14 days before the event.
