“FORWARD SAINTS IS THE FIRST CAMPAIGN IN THE HISTORY OF ST. ANDREW’S THAT WILL ENCOMPASS THE CURRENT

NEEDS AND THE FUTURE POTENTIAL OF PRE-K THROUGH THE 12TH GRADE, BOTH THE SOUTH AND THE NORTH CAMPUSES, AND THE COMPREHENSIVE

NEEDS OF ALL OF ITS STUDENTS AND FACULTY, AS WELL AS THE LARGER COMMUNITY.” — GEORGE PENICK, HEAD OF SCHOOL

BUT THE VERY NATURE OF EXCELLENCE DEFIES COMPLACENCY. As each new goal was realized, St. Andrew’s set new

ones, continually enhancing educational opportunities for its students. Over the years, the school steadily advanced,

moving from that quaint parish hall to two campuses, from outstanding academics to a life-shaping experience, from

a small school with a big vision to an undisputed educational leader, not only in the state of Mississippi, but nationwide. ➤ That transformation occurred as the result of methodical planning and a visionary community’s collective certainty that what

others might consider an overly ambitious goal was actually the next logical step. ➤ And now, St. Andrew’s is poised to

raise the bar for educational excellence once again. The vision has been defined and the plan is in place. ➤ FORWARD SAINTS

will lead to the school’s next great transformation, a multi-staged effort that will create new opportunities for our students and

teachers and enhance education in Mississippi and beyond. Now is the time for St. Andrew’s to take the next logical step.

WITH 45 STUDENTS IN THE PARISH HALL OF ST. ANDREW’S CHURCH.IT BEGAN IN 1947

THE FOUNDERS OF ST. ANDREW’S EPISCOPAL SCHOOL AND THOSE FIRST, FORWARD-THINKING FAMILIES RECOGNIZED

AN OPPORTUNITY TO CREATE A NEW STANDARD IN FAITH-BASED EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE, AND SET ABOUT ESTABLISHING ONE.

THE RESULT IS A SCHOOL THAT, FROM ITS BEGINNING, HAS CULTIVATED FUTURE LEADERS AND INSPIRED ITS STUDENTS TO EXCEL.

WHAT IS THE FUNDRAISING GOAL FOR THE FORWARD SAINTS CAMPAIGN?The FORWARD SAINTS campaign is comprised of projects totaling $30 million. The proposed Episcopal chapel is an additional $1.3 million project separate from the campaign total.

HOW LONG IS THE PLEDGE PERIOD?The five-year pledge period allows donors the flexibility to make a larger gift when stretched over time.

WILL THERE BE NAMING OPPORTUNITIES IN THIS CAMPAIGN?Yes. The plans include several areas ideal for honoring or memorializing family members, friends, an admired teacher, or other loved ones. Please see the

insert and contact the Office of Institutional Advancement for the most updated opportunities available.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT WAYS TO GIVE? ARE GIFTS TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?In addition to cash gifts, St. Andrew’s welcomes gifts of appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds. Gifts from your IRA and matching gift programs are also welcomed. Gifts in any amount are deeply appreciated and tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

HOW WILL DONORS BE RECOGNIZED?Donors will be recognized in St. Andrew’s publications and on donor walls on both the South and North Campuses. Donors will be invited to special events held in conjunction with the construction and unveiling of the new facilities.

FORWARD SAINTS Q&A

WILL THE ANNUAL FUND CONTINUE DURING THE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN PERIOD?Absolutely. As always, and especially during the FORWARD SAINTS campaign, St. Andrew’s depends on the Annual Fund to keep us going while we’re growing. Additionally, St. Andrew’s will continue to welcome gifts to the Touchstone Endowment, as well as planned gifts.

WHEN WILL CONSTRUCTION BEGIN?Construction on stage one will begin when St. Andrew’s reaches $10 million in campaign pledges. The projects in stages two and three will begin when those fundraising thresholds are crossed.

WHEN FORWARD SAINTS REACHES THE $10 MILLION BENCHMARK FOR STAGE ONE, HOW WILL WE KEEP THE MOMENTUM GOING INTO STAGES TWO AND THREE?This is a comprehensive campaign with one, ultimate goal of $30 million. All of the components and stages are interdependent, and fund-raising will continue until the entire campaign is funded. The FORWARD SAINTS campaign

has been carefully planned and crafted by trustees, parents, alumni, faculty, and staff so that each stage builds upon the previous stage’s success. This holistic approach positions St. Andrew’s to best serve its students now and for decades to come.

WILL TUITION INCREASE TO COVER THE COST OF THE NEW FACILITIES?Tuition covers the costs of teaching our students, which includes the costs of operation and upkeep of all St. Andrew’s facilities. Any tuition increases related to these new projects will remain in line with historical tuition increases.

IF I MAKE A MAJOR COMMITMENT TO THIS CAMPAIGN, WILL YOU BE COMING BACK FOR ANOTHER GIFT?This is a long-term, comprehensive campaign that will position the school for decades to come. Families, alumni, and friends will have the opportunity to make a first gift or to renew a gift commitment if they so desire. St. Andrew’s asks every member of our community to consider giving boldly now to help us make this vision a reality as soon as possible.
