Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) Monday (Book Study Group) 7.30pm-9.30pm Tuesday (Arch to Freedom) 7pm-9pmAlcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who desire Freedom from all addiction. We come together to share our experience, strength and hope. All are welcome. For more information please phone 9429 1833. Book Club 3rd Monday of the month 12.30pm-2.30pmAn interesting monthly program for booklovers! Our book club group selects books for all levels of readership and enjoy a discussion as part of their monthly get together. From time to time they may watch the movie created from the book.

Community Garden GroupTuesday and Thursday 9.30am-3pm. Cost: FreeEnjoy Gardening? Come along and be a part of our volunteer gardening group. Join the friendly gardening team to help establish our veggie patch and surrounding area’s. Learn how to grow food from seed or share your experience with others. Everyone is welcome volunteer for one hour or for the full day, it’s up to you how long you’d like to be a part of this program.

Creative Craft Group and Morning TeaWednesday 10am-1pmCome along and join our creative craft group! It’s a great way to build on or learn new skills in a fun and relaxing environment. Bring your craft -knitting, crochet, needle point; scrap booking, ANYTHING that is easily transportable! So come down and grab a cuppa, a bickie and have a ‘yarn’

Cuppa and Chat GroupTuesday 10am-1pmThis is a group for people with an active mind who enjoy art and craft and/or just want to have a chat! Tea and coffee is provided however BYO lunch or purchase a delicious meal from our Community Café.

The Café – Frankston northMonday – Thursday 9am-1pm The Cafe is a great place to meet with friends, to read the paper or to catch up on Centre activities. Our in house menu offers delicious, nutritious and affordable meals and barista coffee. As the saying goes, “ the only thing better than talking is enjoying delicious food!’The café also offers training and volunteering opportunities for people wanting to gain experience within a hospitality setting. Weigh Less Social GroupThursday 9am-11am. Cost: $5Want to lose weight? Come and join this friendly group who are intent on improving their wellbeing. Their basic aim is to inspire and support each other on their wellbeing journey with healthy food choices. This is a self-help not-for-profit club. All are welcome. Friday Fun PlaygroupFriday 10am-12pm. Cost: $2Friday Fun Playgroup is for little people to connect with other little people through play. This popular group enjoys, indoor and outdoor play and craft activities.

healthy Bites PlaygroupWednesday 10am-12pm. Cost: $2 per childThe healthy bites playgroup is for little people with a focus on making fun healthy snacks during the playgroup session. The group is led by parents and volunteers with support from the Centre.

hiPPy (home interaction Program for Parents and youngsters) HIPPY is a fun, Free home-based learning program for families with a young child. HIPPY supports you to prepare your child for a confident start to school. Maternal Child and health nurseThursday 9am-12pmDrop in and meet our resident Maternal and Child Health nurse every Thursday. Our resident nurse provides a welcoming, safe and nurturing environment for parents and babies. No appointment necessary.

StorytimeThursday 9.30am-10am. Cost: Free Storytime with our resident storyteller from the Frankston City Library is a mix of storytelling, rhymes and a simple activity. This program is designed for pre-schoolers and parents/carers.

Storytime PlaygroupThursday 10am-12pm. Cost: $2Join the fun Storytime playgroup families with fun things to do including, outside play, Book Cubby, craft play, toys for babies and toddlers. Cost: FreeKids in the Kitchen are a creative and fun cooking group for Grade 5 and 6 primary aged school children who get creative in the kitchen with Frankston North Community Centre’s head chef. This fun weekly program inspires creativity and a love of cooking.

Lego ClubThursday 4pm-5pm. Cost: $2Come along to Lego Club and let your imaginations run wild! Become a partner in play and join with other Lego enthusiasts to create surprising Lego creations. What’s more fun than building with friends! Bookings essential.

The Learners ClubTuesday 4pm-5.30pm. Cost: FreeThe Learners Club is a program for primary aged young people that aims to equip and strengthen participants love of learning and to foster curiosity and creativity.

The youth Café Friday 9am-1pm. Cost: FreeThe program provides a unique experience for young people to explore what skills are required to work in the hospitality industry without the pressure of working within a commercial hospitality environment. Each week young people explore a range of themes and topics through games, journaling, art, and physical activities, like walking alongside cooking and barista coffee making and food handlers certification. heart and Sole Walking GroupMonday 9.15am. Cost: FreeBe part of the Heart and Sole walking group by meeting these “ soleful” walkers at the Centre by 9.15am every Monday. You can choose to walk for 20 mins or for up to one hour. The choice is yours and everyone is welcome. The walks end with a cuppa and chat at the Centre. Mahogany indoor Bowls Club Wednesday 9.30am-12.30pm. Cost: $4Enjoy a social game of indoor carpet bowls in the Jack Verity Hall. Players compete in mixed teams and the principle aim of the game is the same as all other bowls disciplines; to deliver your bowl closer to the jack than your opponent.

Community Kitchen Program Monday (fortnightly) 12.30pm-2.30pmA Community Kitchen is a group of local people who meet on a regular basis to plan, cook and share healthy and affordable meals and to share their love of cooking! The Community Kitchen is a program for everyone. As part of the program, the group gets to enjoy the meals they have created at the end of their shift. Call the Centre to find out how to register and join this program.
