Thank You!
The FRC would like to thank Kathern Axelsen for her 12 years of service on our
board of directors. Kathern was a founding member of our board and has
been very instrumental in developing and growing the FRC. Her kind heart and
passion for strengthening families in our community has not gone unnoticed. We
wish you well in your retirement, Kathern! Your footprints will forever be embedded
into the FRC, and we are so thankful for your time and dedication!
From the Director
Well, this is it! The last printing of our newsletter! I know, it's
going to be a change for everyone. We are used to printing
6,500 newsletters, four times per year. But we are excited to
be able to cut costs, save trees and offer all of the same, great
information on our website and via email. However-- if you still
prefer to receive this newsletter in the mail, delivered right to your home, please
just email or call us and we will make sure you get it! I'd also like to thank Sacred
Heart Hospital for their in-kind support in the printing of our newsletters!
Please take time to look at page 2, you don't want to miss "Premiere Night" 2011!
This year's event features Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the

Mental Health Assistance for Teens and Children
The summer months often lead to a time of limited structure for kids. School is out, and it is difficult
for families to fill in the hours of the day with healthy, appropriate activities. Lack of things to do often leads to kids getting into
mischief or sitting in front of the tv for hours on end. It is time to start thinking now of how structure can be implemented into
summer vacation. Look for opportunities of new hobbies or extracurricular activities. Summer camps and classes are abundant;
get your kids signed up. Make sure there are limits to tv time, texting, and internet. Implement assigned chores each day. Think
about whether your child is old enough for a job or volunteer work. Plan a family vacation. Don’t be afraid to get the input from
your kids as well. They may have goals they want to accomplish this summer. Call 715-552-1365 with questions or concerns.
