Dear Exhibitors,

During the past few years, we have worked with you to continuously develop Bavaria’s largest trade fair for leisure and travel. For the upcoming f.re.e, we are planning to add another new attraction to the fair’s concept. Recreation and mobility play an increasingly important role among the fair’s visitors. For this reason, the sectors for Caravanning & Mobile Recreation and Bicycles will be located in the immediate vicinity of one another in the future. Making this change allows use to create a thematic axis of mobility together with Munich Car Days. By participating in f.re.e 2014, you are helping this event remain a permanent institution in recreation and vaca - tion planning in Southern Bavaria. To ensure that visitors are even more enthusiastic about the “best time of year,” we want to continue working with you in the future to present a comprehensive and diverse range of travel and recreation alternatives.

f.re.e is an experience to remember for the entire family. More than 110,000 visitors from the region of Germany with the strongest purchasing power await you. The fair features six exhibition sectors with a diverse range of products and services for personal vacation and recreation planning. They range from vacations in Germany, overseas travel and trips with motor homes to a diverse range of recreational activities such as cycling, water sports and climbing. In addition, personal advice and the chance to test products directly at the fair help to make f.re.e a unique experience. Together with you—our exhibitors—we will give visitors a diverse and exciting range of exhibits in the coming year, as well.

Its experience-oriented character, extensive range of exhibits and spec -tacular program of related events make f.re.e Bavaria’s undisputed favorite trade fair for leisure and travel.

Diversity and internationality are what give the theme world for travel—which is the heart of f.re.e—its unique flair. The fair features three exhibition halls of the most enticing vacation destinations in the world: overseas travel, city trips, active vacations and beach holidays. Your tourism offers should be part of it! The approximately 30,000 m2 of exhibi -tion space is clearly broken down according to vacation regions. As a result, visitors are guided directly to their dream destination. However, you can also make an effective presentation outside of your exhibition stand—at the large multimedia show stage in Hall A4 or with image films and documentaries in our popular Vacation Cinema—and it’s all free of charge for our exhibitors! The range of products and services at f.re.e 2014 is just as diverse as the sector for water sports. Whether it comes to canoes, electric boats, rowboats or inflatable boats: The Water Sports area showcases this entire sector, which also includes surfing, windsurfing, kite surfing, stand-up paddling (SUP), wakeboarding, waterskiing and diving. Your best sales argument is f.re.e’s character as an experience to remember: Visitors can try out several of your products directly at the fair—in the pool and in the canoe adventure world. Visitors interested in diving can borrow a complete set of diving equipment free of charge and try breathing underwater. They can also experience diving for the first time in the beginners’ diving tank. Our Water Sports Stage gives you an additional way to showcase your products. As an exhibitor, you can present your latest trends and developments without any additional costs. Incidentally: The topic of water sports extends beyond Hall A6. CARAVANNING & MOBILE RECREATION

The German caravanning industry achieved record-breaking sales during the last two years. For the first time ever, sales surpassed the six billion euro mark in 2012. This positive development will also be reflected at f.re.e: Compared to last year, the amount of exhi -bi tion space in the sector for Caravanning & Mobile Recreation in -creased by 30 percent to some 15,000 square meters in 2013. In addition, the number of brands increased by more than 20 percent to 47 brands! Among other things, these sizeable increases in the caravan and mobile-home sector are the result of visitors with a great deal of purchasing power who come to f.re.e with concrete inten -tions to buy. In other words, perfect conditions for increasing your sales at f.re.e 2014!

The CIVD (Caravanning Industry Association) will make a presentation at f.re.e again in 2014.

For our exhibitors, the surroundings couldn’t be more authentic: The CLIMB FREE Boulder Competition in conjunction with the Munich and Highland Section of the German Alpine Club is being held at f.re.e for the sixth time in 2014.

BICYCLES

The exhibition sector for Bicycles has traditionally been a popular attraction at f.re.e—and according to a survey of visitors by TNS Infratest, demand increases from year to year. In 2013, more than one out of every three visitors attended the fair specifically to gather information about the latest develop-ments in the bicycle sector. Nearly 40 bicycle brands were represented at the fair, and the trend is rising. The result: f.re.e 2014 will feature an entire hall dedicated to the hot topic of bicycles! Our integrated success concept will also be continued in 2014: Visitors can test drive e-bikes, recumbent bikes, trekking bikes, city bikes and mountain bikes at two large test courses. There will also be vacation offers, bicycle accessories and consulting services on topics such as GPS. You can also present your new products and bike-tour offers to a broad-based audience outside of your exhibition stand: on our Cycling Stage—which of course is free of charge!

Online and mobile catalogs: As a f.re.e exhibitor, you can present your company to your target group before the fair even begins. Exhibitors are automatically listed in the online catalog at www.free-muenchen.de, which can be called up all year, and in the mobile catalog for smart-phones. Besides your company’s particulars, the online catalog also allows you to book additional entries (destinations, brands, new products on display at the fair). Based on this information, visitors can put together their own personal trade-fair itinerary.

“f.re.e Daily” magazine: Our “f.re.e Daily” magazine is on display at the trade-fair center (circulation: approx. 50,000 copies) and is an attractive way to inform visitors about which

exhibits can be found in which exhibition halls, the exhibitors themselves, and the daily program of related events. As an exhibitor, you will auto -matically be listed in the magazine if you confirm your stand proposal before it goes to print. You can also call attention to your products and services among our visitors, who have a great deal of purchasing power, with an ad or logo placement.

Visitor newsletter: As of September 2013, eight newsletters will inform more than 8,000 subscribers (and counting) about the various topics and offers that pertain to f.re.e 2014. Take advantage of this interesting medium as a platform for your advertise-ment or logo and to call visitors’ attention to your exhibit at f.re.e.

f.re.e advertising materials: Promote your exhibit by ordering f.re.e posters, the f.re.e visitor brochure and f.re.e stickers – all of which are free of charge. The order form can be found in the documents that are sent to all exhibitors when they confirm their stand proposals.

Vouchers for one-day tickets: Invite your custom -ers and business partners to your exhibition stand with vouchers for one-day tickets to f.re.e 2014.

Your benefit: You only pay for the vouchers of customers who actually attend f.re.e.

related events/activity stages: Use our activity stages and the Vacation Cinema to effectively present your products and services to our audience of visitors. These promotion platforms are free of charge for all exhibitors!

f.re.e Journal special supplement: More than 400,000 copies of the f.re.e Journal will be included in two Munich daily newspapers—“Münchner Merkur” and “tz”—shortly before f.re.e 2014, giving you a number of advertising possibilities. The supplement is free of charge and will also be on display at the trade-fair center.

Scavenger hunt: We are continuing our popular sweepstakes again in 2014. You can donate attractive prizes and call additional attention to your products and services, among other things in our sweepstakes flyer and the f.re.e Journal.

Press services: Generate interest in your products and services among the numerous journalists at the fair. Simply book an electronic press com-partment or a press compartment at the trade-fair center. Hold a press conference to announce your events or VIP guests. If you notify us about your activities, we would be pleased to include them in our online press-event calendar at www.free-muenchen.de.

Marketing for f.re.e: The integrated commu-nications concept for f.re.e 2014 includes online and offline activities for an enormous media presence: Marketing and PR activities range from promotional and coverage in classic media such as print and radio to online activities that generate a great deal of attention such as our visitor newsletter, social-media activities and on-line banners. Add to that billboards in and around Munich and special publications and supple-ments in daily newspapers and trade journals.
