Step 1: Decide on your content

The very first step is to complete the web site form on thecontact page as an initial enquiry and as soon as we have yourbasic details we will call you back.We will not put you on the spot for instant decisions but insteadwe will give you a very quick overview of how the system works.

Decide if you want someone from your company to presentyour message (the best and most cost effective choice), or if youwould prefer to use a professional presenter.Also think about whether you want to include any extra materialsuch as part of an existing movie or part of a PowerPointpresentation etc.Try to answer as many questions as you can to help us build apicture of what you want to achieve with your video.

Step 2: Confirm content and cost

We will call you back to confirm costs and answer any of thequestions you may have. If at this stage you decide to go aheadwith the video production we will require a £250 StudioBooking Fee to be paid in advance, and the balance when thevideo has been completed.We will look through your draft script and make any suggestionsfor you to consider.Then we will put together a storyboard withthe final script which we will email for your approval.The script will be broken down into scenes so that you do nothave to attempt speaking it all in one go.We also suggest that you open a free YouTube account so thatyour video can be hosted online making it easier for your webdesigner to link to or embed it in your web page.

When you are happy with the storyboard, we will agree ashooting date.

3 Simple Steps

Step 3: The shoot day

On the day you will have up to 3 hours so there will be plenty oftime to sit down over a coffee and run through your scriptbefore shooting.Everything will be filmed in high definition.The shoot itself is quite straightforward, your script will beshown on a tele-prompter for you to read out a scene at a time,and we can do as many takes as we need.

Before you leave you will be able to review the raw footage fromthe camera to a TV set, and note the best clips to use.

And for you - That is it!

Post productionFollowing the shoot we assemble and edit the video, key out thegreen-screen and drop in the background set you have chosen.Add any stills, titles, logos or any other graphics and then renderthe movie.Next we upload a low resolution, watermarked version to yourYouTube account as a final pre-flight check, and at this stage wewill require the balance of the invoice to be settled.The final High Resolution file will then be uploaded to replacethe previous one in your YouTube account for your web designerto use as you please.

What video format do you suggest?We advise Flash technology over Quicktime,Windows Media orany other format simply because it has a far greater take up - andis playable on almost every computer around the world.Also it gives great quality at compact file sizes, and it is possibleto add other graphics, Flash animation and even a transparentbackground if needed.

Why film in High Definition as it is just for the web?q It is the old story, start with the very best quality and thencompress to the codec and size of your choice.Quality in - Quality out!q 16:9 wide screen just looks great!

What software do you use for video editing?We use Final Cut Pro - a top end professional edit suite which isthe tool of choice for many great film and TV productioncompanies.

Can I use a pop up video player rather than taking upspace on my web page?Yes you can, there are many online video players on the market -in fact we use one throughout our own site.They can beactivated by clicking a pre-defined button. Speak to your webdesigner, or give us a call for advice.

I want a video to play on my home page on the first timeit is opened but not every time someone navigates backto it.Create 2 home pages and name the first one index.html (whichcontains the video) and the second say home.html - index.htmlis always the first page to launch when visiting a site but set thenavigation buttons to to home.html from every other page sothat index.html only ever loads once when someone goes to thedefault web address.

Can I have a video with a transparent background so itplays on top of my web page then disappears?Yes you can - it involves creating a Flash FLV file with an alphachannel and importing it into a Flash SWF file which can bepositioned wherever you like on the page.

What if I want some background music in my video?We can create royalty free audio for you and add it alongside thevideo track if you need it.Let us know your requirements and we will be happy to help.

What should I wear to appear in the video?Nothing green or reflective - but do wear a smile!(Anything green is removed or keyed out so it becomestransparent).

How can I remember my script while filming?You do not have to.We break it into scenes and you read a lineat a time from a teleprompter just below the camera lens so itlooks like you are looking into the camera. Each scene willcomprise of only a few lines so it is easy to be natural andrelaxed. If you get it wrong we will do as many takes as isneeded to get it right!

I have more than one story to tellConsider a different video on another page - one that you clickto play so it does not drive everyone mad if they see it everytime the page is opened.

What images can I show on my video that I alreadyhave?Just about anything digital. JPEGs Powerpoint slide images(or Keynote on Mac) PNG files, EPS files etc. If its a format thatis difficult - we can probably convert it to something else. Feelfree to discuss anything that you feel is important.Don not forget we are also a graphic and photographic studio -so anything you need to create we can do in house.

I want to include my video in my PDF brochure too - canI do it?You are in luck! With Acrobat 9 reader or above video can beembedded right in the document and in Flash format too (FLV orSWF) so it is available to all.You need to embed it using Acrobat9 Pro but we can do that for you if desire.

Do I own the video?Absolutely! Use it anywhere you like.

What if I want a high resolution version for anexhibition?Again you are in luck! It is shot in HD and we archive the fullresolution master for possible future requirements.We will behappy to quote on any special requests.
