ATTENTION STUDENTS AND PARENTS:
On Thursday, November 9, 2017 Fremont will be hosting two short Veteran's Day celebrations to recognize and honor those who have served our country. The ceremonies will take place during both lunches and will include music from Fremont's music department, a presentation from Red Mountain's ROTC Color Guard, and individual recognition of each of our veterans. Fremont has some staff members who are veterans, but we would like to extend an invitation to any family members who are veterans as well. This can include parents, cousins, aunts, uncles, and even grandparents. If you, or any other family member you know, would like to be recognized in our ceremony, please feel free to contact Mr. Martin at [email protected] or 480-472-8258. This is a great way to remind our young people that our awesome veterans are everywhere!

Sun Safety Tip

before going outdoors. It takes
approximately 15 minutes for
your skin to absorb the
sunscreen and protect you. If
you wait until you are in the
sun to apply sunscreen, your
skin is unprotected and can
burn.

Fences at Fremont
The fences around our campus are almost completed! The ultimate goal will be to ensure that our campus is safe and secure while school is in session and our students are on campus. Therefore, the gates around our campus will be locked at approximately 9:05, when our classes start, and reopened again just before our 3:50 dismissal time. The only access to our campus between those times will be through the front door of the office. The gates will remain open for our A Hour classes. The traffic patterns for drop off and pick up do not need to be changed at this time, although we request that the area directly in front of the office not be used for drop off or pick up for the safety of our students. There are gates strategically located around campus that have pushbars to allow students to exit campus without keys in case of emergencies. The first day that the new pro-cedures will be put in place will be Monday, November 6th. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions and have a great day.
PTO/SIAC/Title 1
Everyone is welcome to attend the PTO/SIAC/Title 1 meetings.
They start at 4 pm in the media center.
Next one is Monday, November 13th.
Share your views on technology and learning!
Fremont and the district are participating in the Speak Up Research Project for Digital Learning. The Speak Up survey lets parents share their views on education and technology with the school, the dis-trict and national policymakers. Contribute your thoughts about how to best prepare students for the future.
The online survey is open to students, educators, parents and community members. To participate, visit speakup.tomorrow.org and select the Parent survey. The survey will take about 20 minutes to com-plete. Your time will be well spent, as the results will inform future school and district plans and deci-sions.
We want to hear your child’s voice as well. Have them select the Student survey for their grade level. The student secret word is Mesa2017.
All participation is 100% confidential.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your views with us.
