Description Freyssibar+ bars are produced using a heat treatment process that delivers enhanced mechanical performance. They offer a superior combination of mechanical strength and ductility to conventional prestressing bars. Freyssibar+ bars are especially suited to prestressing, strapping and lifting operations, where their mechanical strength can be leveraged to develop space-saving solutions. Quality assuranceThe quality management system at the Freyssibar+ factory is certified to ISO 9001:2015.Every delivery is accompanied by a type 3.1 inspection certificate in accordance with EN 10204 for each batch of bars.Each bar is identified by its heat treatment batch number.

SpecificrequirementsFreyssibar+ bars are available in maximum lengths of 11.80 m. They are supplied with threaded ends, and the thread length can be adjusted on request.Freyssibar+ bars can be produced in larger diameters on special request.

ProtectionAs a general rule, bars are permanently protected on site by injecting a flexible product (petroleum wax, grease, etc.) or a rigid product (cement grout). Bars can also be supplied (such as precast elements) with different types of corrosion protection applied in the factory:

• Protection with anti-corrosion wax tape

• Anti-corrosion heat-shrink sleeve

• Wax injection

The range of bars

There are two types of anchor (flat and spherical) and a range of couplers that are scaled to withstand the bar's ultimate strength and transmit all the prestressing forces to the structure.

Spherical anchors

Spherical anchors comprise a plate, nut and spherical washer. They can be used to compensate for certain perpendicular alignment issues between the bar and the structure.

Flat anchors comprise an anchor plate, washer and straight nut.They are used in most cases.

Couplers are designed to connect bars together. They feature a central stop to ensure that both bars are screwed symmetrically.
