EMIRATES sold new A380 (172) to Veling Tayara, Mauritius, and leased it back under Japanese Operating Lease (JOL). NORDIC AVIATION CAPITAL purchased three Q400s (4184/4198/4265; leased to AIRBERLIN) from Centaurium Aviation. AIR PARTNER, UK has acquired CABOT AVIATION, UK for about £1.2m, and established an Aircraft Remarketing unit. CIT AEROSPACE signed 23 lease agreements and delivered 10 new and used aircraft on lease in 1Q15 vs 55/28 in 1Q14. INTREPID AVIATION secured long-term financing from Citi for an A330-300 that was purchased with cash in 2014. AERCAP had $304.6m net income on $1.3b revenues in 1Q15 vs $77.8m on $264.8m in 1Q14, and now has 1,274 owned/managed aircraft (plus another 368 on order) with an average remaining contracted lease term of 5.9 years. It has $7.2b of available liquidity. AIR LEASE CORP had $19.3m net income on $278m revenues in 1Q15 vs $61.4m on $246m in 1Q14, and now has owned/managed fleet of 242 aircraft with 82 airlines. It settled litigation with AIG and ILFC resulting in non-recurring expense of $72m before taxes. AMEDEO AIR FOUR PLUS was added to the London Stock Exchange (AA4); it expects to own US$1.7b in aircraft assets by end 2015 by acquiring four A380s on lease with Emirates; two (152/164) were acquired in 2014 under SLB deal and second two in 2H15.     ROLLS-ROYCE plans by end of May to mate core and fan on first 97,000 lb thrust Trent XWB-97 flight test engine (for A350-1000); the flight test program on A380 flying testbed (001) is expected to start in 4Q15 and engine certification is expected in mid-2016.

    PRATT & WHITNEY was selected by Bombardier to provide its eFAST health monitoring system as infrastructure unit for CSeries Aircraft Health Management System (AHMS) to transmit data from aircraft' to ground for real-time monitoring of all critical systems.

    GE AVIATION broke ground on $50m, 55,000 sq ft expansion at Hooksett, NH for military/commercial rotating parts production.

    BOMBARDIER BUSINESS AIRCRAFT is cutting Global 5000/6000 production due to softness in international markets, which will result in about 1,750 layoffs in Montreal/Toronto, Canada and Belfast, Northern Ireland. It delivered 17 Global 5000/6000s in 1Q15.

    GAMA reports manufacturers delivered 441 general aviation aircraft (193 pistons/115 turboprops/133 jets) worth $4.5b in 1Q15 vs 520 (241 pistons/125 turboprops/154 jets) worth $5.2b in 1Q14. It is urging US Govt to reauthorize Ex-Im Bank before June 30 deadline.

    PILATUS made first flight of FJ44-powered PC-24 business jet; it plans to use three prototypes for 2-year flight test program.

    JETNET says pre-owned business jet sales transactions dropped 13.5% in 1Q15 vs 1Q14, and are taking 66 days more to sell than a year ago, with a 20.5% increase in average asking price, which it says is one of the largest increases it has ever recorded.

    ROLLS-ROYCE says it is maintaining its full-year guidance for 2015 as it expects performance to be more 2H15-weighted.

    MITSUBISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES had ¥110.4b net profit on ¥3,992b sales in year end March 31 vs ¥160.4m on ¥3,349b a year ago.

    SINGAPORE AIRLINES GROUP had S$367.9m net income for year ended March 31 (vs S$359.5m a year ago) on 2.1% higher revenues. SINGAPORE AIRLINES earned S$340m (vs S$256m a year ago) and SIA CARGO lost S$22m (vs S$100m loss).

    EASYJET posted £7m pretax profit for six months ended March 31 (vs £53m loss a year ago) on 3.8% higher revenues.

    AIR CANADA posted C$122m adjusted net income for 1Q15 (vs C$132m loss in 1Q14) on 6% higher revenues, calling it the best 1Q financial performance in its history. It is projecting 2015 capacity increase of 9-10% vs 2014; 55% will be by Air Canada rouge.

    TURKISH AIRLINES had US$153m net income in 1Q15 (vs approximate US$85m loss in 1Q14) on 4% lower revenues.

    REPUBLIC AIRWAYS had $6.4m net income for 1Q15 (vs $14m in 1Q14) on 1% higher revenues. It took delivery of final six E175s for its American deal, which now totals 47 aircraft; and it expects to take 15 more E-Jets in 2H15 for operation as United Express.

    GOL, Brazil had R$672.7m net loss for 1Q15 (vs R$96.1m loss in 1Q14) on 0.5% higher revenues. It says current scenario of high exchange rate volatility and low economic activity causes it to continually manage its costs and search for new sources of revenue.

    AIRBERLIN lost (EBIT) €159.9m in 1Q15 (vs €182.8m loss in 1Q14) on 4.2% higher revenues; average yields increased 4.2%.

    CARGOJET earned (EBITDA) C$7.3m in 1Q15 (vs C$1.8m in 1Q14) on 23.8% higher revenues. It currently has 24 freighters.

    TRIUMPH GROUP had $238.7m net income on $3.88b sales for year ended March 31 vs $206.3m on $3.76b a year ago; organic sales dropped 5% primarily due to decreased C-17 and 747-8 production. Its backlog has surpassed $5b.

    PRECISION CASTPARTS had $1.53b net income on $10b sales for year ended March 31 vs $1.77b on $9.53b a year ago; Airframe Products earned $968m on $3.2b sales vs $863m on $2.9b. Aerospace represented 70% of its total sales vs 69% a year ago.

    ST AEROSPACE had S$57.3m net income on S$491m revenues in 1Q15 vs S$60.5m on S$503m in 1Q14. Aircraft Maintenance & Mod business earned S$40.9m on 13.7% lower sales; and Component/Engine MRO earned S$13.4m on 2.5% higher sales.

    DUCOMMUN had $2m net loss on $173m revenues in 1Q15 vs $5.2m net income on $180m in 1Q14; DAS sales fell 12%.

    MAGELLAN AEROSPACE had C$19.2m net income on C$228m revenues in 1Q15 vs C$12.1m on C$210.5m in 1Q14.

    WESCO AIRCRAFT had $23m net income on $385.6m sales for second quarter ended March 31 vs $24.3m on $327.4m a year ago.

    ASTRONICS AEROSPACE earned $23.4m on $142.4m revenues in 1Q15 vs $17.5m on $122.4m in 1Q14.
