Mid-Winter OSMA Convention
The Saturday Night Fundraiser for the Dwaine Brown Retirement Party on August 5, 2016 at the OSMA Annual Convention included a Corn Hole Tournament, raffles, and Horse Races. District 8 horses are shown
at the line for the 4th race.
Out of this race of thor-oughbreds, a Clydesdale won! What happens at con-vention stays at conven-tion!

Women of the Moose
Dear Coworkers: Have you heard the great news? Or perhaps seen the flyers around the lodge? The WOTM Membership Drive for NEW WOTM Members began on January 20, 2016 and will continue through April 15, 2016. There will be NO APPLICATION FEE…only the $30 yearly dues…that’s a savings of $20. Why not take advantage of this offer and begin to enjoy the great benefits from your membership. This will also help the WOTM make their “Award of Achievement”…which is having 481 active members in our Chapter. See any officer if you have any questions. The WOTM is also running the raffle again…the winner will receive a free year’s
membership provided she signs up a new member by March 31, 2016. The new member will also receive the free year’s membership. Take a chance…$2.00 per ticket. See any of the officers or the bartender (they have the tickets/envelope). Good luck! Finally, February brings us to that time of year to start the “Election of WOTM Officers” for 2016/2017. We are currently seeking officers for the following open positions: SENIOR REGENT; JUNIOR REGENT; SEC-RETARY/TREASURER; and RECORDER.
Any active co-worker, who will be a member of the chapter for at least 6 months on the date of election, is eli-gible for nomination. If interested in an officer’s position, please put your specific request for an officer’s posi-tion in a sealed envelope and place it in the WOTM mailbox outside their old office. Consideration will be given until February 23, 2016. The final slate of Officers will be announced on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 and voting will take place on Tuesday, March 15, 2016.
Remember….come and join us on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. I look forward to meeting all new members to the Chapter.
Fraternally yours,
Valerie Worth
Senior Regent

Lodge Administrator
Did we miss winter? I am sure February will bring some cold weather and snow. We have had some big changes and improvements over the past year, hoping all will contin-ue. We'd like to see our membership grow more, at least our quota plus 1 meet. We still have time. Our year ends at the end of April, we can do it with your help. Let’s try. By spon-soring a new member in February you can earn double points on the Moose Rewards pro-gram. Check out the program on www.mooserewards.org for additional information.
Tony
Lodge Governor
There is plenty of good news to report since last month. First and foremost, we now have two new tenants! That only leaves one vacancy and there has been some interest in that space. January was a stellar month in sales for the Lodge. Our year-to-date figures are up and we are continuing to outpace last year. The Euchre and Dart League are growing each week. This is the place to come to avoid the mid-winter blahs. Planning has begun to provide access to the Annex next door. Included with this will
be increasing the office space. As the project progresses, I will keep you updated. Keep an eye out for the fish/shrimp fries which will be held on Fridays throughout Lent. This is the big fundraiser for the Moose Riders so come on in and show your support. The regular schedule of events, Wings, Moose Cards, Thursday Cheap Eats, and Friday entertainment will continue as usual. Check the sign board, calendar, newsletter, and Moose Vision for information. Just a reminder, the election for Lodge Officers is just around the corner. A posting with the offices, deadlines, qualifications, etc. will be up soon. If you are interested, please keep in mind there is a considerable commitment in time and energy that comes with the title. Having said that, there is great satisfaction in being involved with directing this great Lodge. As always, I want to thank all of you for your help ad support. If you have any comments or concerns, look me up. I am not too hard to find. Bob
ALWAYS CARRY YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD
MEMBERSHIP CARDS WILL BE CHECKED BEFORE SOCIAL QUARTERS SERVICE IS
PROVIDED
Check your card. Are your dues current? Without your card, you will not be admitted or served. (It is also your key card). Our General Laws require that you present your membership before being served each day. Also, your card will open the door in most other Lodges, that use the same key card system. If your dues are expired, you can not open the door. Always carry your card.
